At 05:00 he moved out with three comrades. High grass covered the trail. He stepped on a Soviet-designed “petal” mine.

The blast shredded his foot. He tried to run, collapsed twice, then dragged himself to a tree for cover. 2/

A teammate on his first combat mission tightened the tourniquet.

Keks handed over his machine gun, gave orders, and told the group to move ahead while he crawled behind them. FPVs hunted overhead. Mortars struck nearby. 3/

Volker: We need more Europe in NATO, but the US doesn’t go to zero.

Europe is preparing a ‘coalition of the willing’ to deploy to Ukraine after a ceasefire. They’re reviewing forces and equipment to be more capable.

But they still see the alliance with the US as essential.

Volker: Trump got Ukraine to accept a ceasefire idea, aligned US-Ukraine economically, and pushed Europe to step up.

But he hasn’t pressured Putin.

Without secondary sanctions and action against the shadow fleet, Moscow has no reason to stop.

Yes, it brings money to Ukraine. But more importantly, the West needs Ukrainian know-how.

We build high-end, expensive weapons. Ukrainians build high-tech, effective, low-cost ones — and know how to use them.

Ex-Nato Chief Stoltenberg: We might have prevented the full-scale invasion in 2022 — if we had started helping Ukraine in 2014.

If we had armed and trained Ukraine back then, Ukrainians would control more of their territory today.

Stoltenberg: My first decision as finance minister was to triple Norway’s military support to Ukraine.

We provide €7.3 billion a year. We are fewer than six million people.

No country gives more per capita or as a share of GDP. That’s 1.3% of GDP, higher than most allies.

Stoltenberg: In 2025, Russia captured less than 1% of Ukrainian territory, about 0.8%.

For that, they paid around 1,000 killed and seriously wounded every single day.

Their economy is in deep trouble. Finland and Sweden joined NATO.

Sen. Tillis: Putin is a liar and a murderer. He should be expelled from Ukraine.

I’ll accept a peace deal if Zelenskyy wants one, but we must not appease adversaries. Europe must step up. NATO isn’t in decline; claims it is are alarmist.

Myroslav, defected Russian soldier: The best motivation in the Russian army is fear.

It's intimidation, it's proving yourself to be much more powerful than you actually are "I've been through a bunch of assaults, killed so many". Killing is their main motivation. 1/

Myroslav: There was a conversation about civilians and prisoners of war. If they get caught, just kill them.

Why do you need this burden? You need to take them there and carry them. It’s an additional risk to interrogate them and remove them. 2/

Myroslav: The Russian army's staff are assholes. I'm far removed from the concepts of the criminal code, but you can really feel it there.

So, let's say you say something, and tomorrow everyone knows it. And they need exactly these kinds of jerks. 3/
