Meet the doctor responsible for bringing puberty blockers to the US & opening the 1st pediatric gender clinic at Boston Children’s. Dr. Norman Spack says “it’s so rewarding to watch these kids give birth to themselves,” aka chemically & surgically castrating this boy at 16. 🧵

I did a thread on this BBC documentary, “Transgender Children: Who Knows Best,” in 2023. It was all laid out for us to see in 2016. This is child abuse. It’s not medicine & we must end this medical abuse now. This doctor & all like him must be held accountable. 3/3

Imagine taking your daughter to an eating disorder clinic because she is suffering from anorexia. Instead of helping her, they tell her she is a boy. A new blog post from @donoharm shows this horrifying reality parents are experiencing when trying to get their child help. 🧵1/

What this blog post describes is not an isolated incident. I have had many parents tell me they have taken their child to an eating disorder clinic or a psychiatric residential program, only to be undermined by the therapists & doctors affirming their child as "trans." 2/

Often, the underlying issues and even the eating disorder is not properly treated. How can you properly treat teens with distorted body image issues when you are not grounding them in the reality of their sexed body? You can't. 3/

Herein lies one of the main reasons why the Chiles v. Salazar Supreme Court case is so incredibly important. When parents are trying to find help to navigate their child’s sudden rejection of their sex, this is often what they find. 🧵

They are seeking a mental health professional who will not simply “affirm” their child’s identity, but instead focus on root or co-occurring issues such as trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and/or autism, not simply affirming the “trans” or false identity.

They are met with counselors who will ONLY “affirm” either because of conversion therapy ban laws or even perceived bans due to ideological training. The intention of conversion therapy bans was to prohibit harmful practices like shock therapy to change one’s same sex attraction.

A new peer-reviewed study confirms what parents have long suspected: the scale of youth gender medicalization is FAR beyond any reasonable clinical justification. 1/8🧵

Many wonder how we got to a place where people believe sex is a spectrum & we are sterilizing kids. Meet Diane Ehrensaft. She is the director of mental health at the Child & Adolescent Gender Center, UCSF Benioff. She gave this talk to the Association of Children's Librarians.🧵

She says we need to make sure all books are “gender inclusive." We need to unlearn everything about gender. Someone came up with the “gender spectrum,” but there is still a problem because of the binary. Binary is bad. Instead, she made up something new: the gender web. 2/

Here, Dr. Ehrensaft states every child has a "gender web." She says fingerprints are immutable, but gender webs are not. She stated gender webs are not fixed at birth and can change over the course of childhood. 3/
