For the first time in months, we had clear satellite images of Ukraine 🇺🇦 without snow or clouds
Ukraine is digging massive ring defenses in front of Kharkiv and 8 other cities, while russian airstrikes and artillery strikes continue to be monitored.
🧵THREAD🧵1/16 ⬇️
The city of Chuhuiv in Kharkiv oblast received its first ring fortifications since the war started.
Ditches are being dug north and east of the city.
In Izium, also in Kharkiv oblast, the city's ring defenses are being reinforced, especially north and south of the city.
In Sumy, Sumy oblast, ukrainian fortifications are more and more numerous all around the city.
Due to the large forests around it, it is more difficult to have continuous lines of defense.
In the northern part of Sumy oblast, border cities or Buryn and Putyl are also being prepared with new defenses.
Same applies for Hloukhiv, which now has a new fortified line behind the first one.
In Chernihiv oblast, the regional capital, Chernihiv is also experiencing the construction of a new defensive line, the third one from the border.
The last one is more famous, the city of Pavlohrad in Dnipropetrovsk oblast has a large defensive perimeter, which is currently improving (3 rows of ditches...).
Here in red are all the new fortifications dug in 2026, compared to the other fortifications in yellow.
Now, let's take a look at some interesting satellite images from today.
Here, we can see ukrainian defensive line west of Hulialpole (recently completed) with some small positions behind.
In the same area, even if the snow stopped, we can still see a large number of russian artillery and air strikes.
East of Novomykholaivka, ukrainian engineerinf troops are actively digging new defensive fortifications.
It is interesting that they now prioritize 2 rows of ditches instead of 3 in this direction.
In Pokrovsk and Dobropilla fronts, there are still massive airstrikes and artillery strikes.
Additionnal images from northern Kharkiv oblast are showing massive artillery strikes impact along the border.
In Sumy, there are also massive strikes impacts, I may soon try to map it.
Thanks for following this new analysis !

Ukraine 🇺🇦 has now targeted around 500 russian 🇷🇺 trucks and vehicles during the last 48 days.
Mid-range strikes continue to expand across occupied territories, on roads, bridges and rear base. This continues to slow down russian offensive.
🧵THREAD🧵1/13 ⬇️
From tomorrow, I will be off for more than 1 week, which means there won't be any new map/airstrike/fortification/mid-range strikes update, apart from some small tweets.
I will however continue to follow the overall trends.
In total, I have 270 geolocated strikes on trucks and vehicles since january, most of those are from May to June.
The key Rostov-Crimea road remains the priority target, but roads in Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson oblast have also been largely targeted.
As a reminder, in February, the Ukrainian army conducted a discreet offensive for several weeks, clearing infiltrated areas, securing Pokrovsk'e and infiltrating areas that were previously under Russian control.
This counter-attack notably secured Ternuvat and prevented the use of Uspenivka to launch assaults on the Zaporizhzhia front.
This significantly slowed the Russian advance, reducing its length from 42 km to 25 km (west of Hulialpole).
Last night, multiple Ukrainian 🇺🇦 units hit the bridges leading to Crimea, further isolating the peninsula from the land bridge to Russia 🇷🇺
At the same time, strike campaign continues on multiple key roads, with over 375 vehicles and trucks hit since early May.
