@rossiadam @JaredDHardin Sadly, Minneapolis Minnesota has established the precedent that groups of concerned citizens can and should seek to confront active law enforcement if they disagree with the laws being enforced.
Sadly, Virginia has a history of groups of concerned citizens surrounding jails
1/
@rossiadam @JaredDHardin to express their concerns about persons detained pursuant to active, pending legal proceedings.
I strongly encourage @GovernorVA to uphold the Rule of Law by honoring federal detainer requests so that concerned citizens need not congregate outside the jail at all hours.

I wonder how carefully @StatePRM was in selecting him to live in Buffalo, New York, when he was apparently arrested in February 2025, mere months after arriving in December 2024, and spent a year in jail.
Where was his family?
Where was the refugee NGO?
1/
@M_Sawyed @RepYvetteClarke @StatePRM Sadly, how could anyone expect a blind 50+ year old man, apparently all alone in the world, to find a job and live in a strange city with a robust, full-season climate?
Was the Biden Administration trying to exceed 100,000 refugee admissions before it left office 01/20/2025?
2/
@M_Sawyed @RepYvetteClarke @StatePRM I think he would have been better off staying in a refugee camp in his home region; his American dream, whatever it may have been, turned into a nightmare.
Americans expect our federal officials, both @CBP and @StatePRM, to do their jobs with professionalism.

@stevesi28838948 @RepBeccaB At this point, I am just batmobiling.
I watched the Renee Good videos but I am not watching others because it’s too demoralizing.
I did participate in an ICE Watch video meeting at the beginning, but, as the article describes, I became concerned that well-meaning
1/
@stevesi28838948 @RepBeccaB individuals were being inspired or encouraged to confront armed law enforcement, rather than staying a safe distance and recording.
I am also concluding that peaceful citizens should either record or comment (shout) but not both, to avoid distraction.
2/
@stevesi28838948 @RepBeccaB @tomricks1 book on the Civil Rights Movement is worth reading.
I am losing confidence in the Administration’s basic competence.
If loyalty trumps competence, as has been reported with so many examples, that doesn’t bode well for America.
