Gemini has been hit with a class-action lawsuit in New York, accusing the firm of misleading investors about its strategy before and after its 2025 IPO.
Gemini’s stock closed at $32 on its first trading day in September but has since fallen over 80% to around $6 as of Thursday.
This is big: China’s state planner announced it's requiring some second and third-tier cities with urban population of 1-3 mln to eliminate the "hukou." or household registration restrictions. caixinglobal.com/2019-04-08/res…
That means migrant workers in some midsize cities like Wuxi or Ningbo would be able to register a local hukou and finally get the same treatment as locals with access to education, social security and health care.
The fact that it’s on a national level is a huge deal. The hukou system is one of the longest-standing social policies in existence, all the way from the planned economy era.
