For some time I've been watching exchanges between people with regards to Iran and israel.

There are a theological dimensions in political dimensions to different opinions.

If a person says that they would ally with Iran for political reasons, I personally see great danger...
in that, given the treachery bloodletting that the Iranians have consistently been engaged in since the late Middle ages when a fanatical sect of Shī'ah essentially converted the population through genocidal inquisition, by force.

This is the reason you see most Iranians are
very Muslim with their attitudes in general about the Qur'ān, prophet ﷺ & symbols of Islām, but otherwise virulently anti-Islam in practice.

It is because a dysfunctional model of Islam was forced on them through violence.

So if you want to ally with them politically, I
don't agree that much good will come out of it, but you have a right to your opinion.

However, if the idea is that we have common cause with them in religion, their religion is a different religion that masquerades as Islām.

It is so abhorrent that they have to lie to their
own laypeople about it.

I personally wouldn't believe what the Sunnī scholars would tell me, one day exposed the beliefs that they have in their most cherished books.

Then I learned Arabic and actually open their books in read what's there.

When I would ask laypeople from
Iran how they can justify such crazy things, they would deny any knowledge of it. At this point they were either truly ignorant or lying. Both states are highly problematic.

A political alliance is by its nature ad hoc: in order for it to be fruitful people need to know what
the parameters of the alliance are.

This alliance can only be for the sake of combating a common enemy. For it to be useful, there needs to be a sober assessment as to when that is happening & when that is not happening, rather than mindless repetition of propaganda.

As for
the idea that somehow Iran is standing up for Palestine, or Islam, this is complete lunacy.

If they're standing up for Palestine they would have fired their missiles when Gaza was getting killed instead of only firing when they were being fired at.

If they were standing up
Islam, we would not see millions of Syrian, Iraqi & Yemeni, refugees, 100,000's of dead & Iranians proxy militias causing havoc & Pakistan & Afghanistan.

If you don't agree, fine.

But don't bury your head in the sand.

I welcome comment:

If you have any delusion that the mainstream media is essentially a Hasbara mouthpiece, giving propaganda straight from Tel Aviv to the world, see the article linked.

Violent Zionist counter protesters came in before the police cleared the protest site. Hurling racist and sexist abuse at the protesters they charge them ripping down barricades and beating people with metal pipes, causing life-threatening injuries amongst the peaceful protesters.

During this entire time, and for hours afterward the LAPD was not only not there to break them up, but they had actually left after being attacked by the pro-Zionist counter-protesters.

None of this was reported in this complete puff piece by @BBCNews .

Instead it repeats all of the nonsense talking points about Jewish students feeling unsafe, despite the fact that a large percentage of the protesters themselves were Jewish.

Contrast the linked article with the article published in The @dailybruin, @UCLA's student newspaper.

Here is the coverage from the @dailybruin .
@dailybruin In case they take down or change the BBC story here are screenshots.

Q: Is it permissible to pray behind the Shī'ah, eat their slaughtered meat or marry with them according to the Sunnī conception of the sacred law & creed?

A: The term Shī'ah doesn't describe one homogenous group that necessarily has a shared set of beliefs.

Originally, it...
meant anyone who supported a contender to political rule who was from the family of the messenger of Allāhﷺ. In this context, many of the great Sunnī Imāms were so politically inclined, & when it is mentioned in the biographical works that they were inclined toward Tashayyu'...
(Shī'aism), this is what is meant, i.e. politics, not creed.

After the passage of over a century, the most hardcore members of this political party started to take on peculiar creedal positions, which themselves then fractured into a number of different groups.

Such groups...

Plant Based Eid?

What was up until very recently taken as a recurring joke amongst some who had cast themselves as "progressive Muslims," seems now to be crystallizing into a yearly observance.

"Plant Based-Eid," is not funny.

It is a satanic ritual, that those who have... Image
either precariously weak connection with Islām, or outright antagonism cloaked in cultural appropriation, whether mindfully or mindlessly, made into a mockery of Allah's Dīn.

I myself go long stretches at a time with reduced or absent meat consumption & I'm happy to try out...
vegan products. I also do not hold a garage against people who prefer not to eat meat, and understand what the benefits are to the economy, environment & health, in particular situations. We are villagers from Punjab, and unlike people from the other parts of the subcontinent...

It's really interesting that the great majority of Muslims are greeting @NavDifferences statement with welcome; the greatest question they have is why didn't it get written sooner?

I agree.

As for the few that object forcefully, they are of a few types...
1- "It represents a defeated mentality outside a Muslim frame of reference, talking of coexisting & control constitutional rights."

We live in a non-Muslim country in which we interact with others through the framework of the constitution as minorities.

Whoever doesn't like...
it can leave or boycott the system. But for a person to do neither & continue living here is to acknowledge we will be completely irrelevant to society & never impact it.

If that's a person's approach that's fine but it's pointless. We did not inherit it from our tradition.

Eat and Drink A Little: Indeed You Are Criminals

Alhamdulillāh, today the ailing military dictator, who shared a name with the last Persian emperor who threw dirt on the emissary of the messenger of Allāh ﷺ, Parvez, died.

That he deposed a fairly stable democratically elected government is quickly forgotten by the hypocritical liberal global elites.

When I went to study in Pakistan, none of the large Madāris of Karachi would admit me because he promulgated a law banning outside students of 'ilm.
There was a notable exception. Muftī Na'īm of SITE told me he would keep me in his madrasah and if they came for me or any of the foreign students, they would have to go through him personally first. I didn't take him up on his offer, but always thought him to be a great man...

The Khwājagān were a lineage of spiritual masters of Transoxinia starting with Khwājah 'abd al-Khāliq Ghijdwānī, who laid the foundation for what would later, in his seventh lineal successor, Khwājah Shāh Bahā al-Dīn Naqshband, become the Naqshbandī Tarīqah.

In order, the...

They firmly cast their lot in with the methodology and approach to 'Aqīdah, Fiqh and Tasawwuf of the Ahl al-Sunnah & eventually...

Far from advocating isolation, or separation, they carefully devised a set of spiritual exercises that integrated a need to be an active member of society...
