If you have any delusion that the mainstream media is essentially a Hasbara mouthpiece, giving propaganda straight from Tel Aviv to the world, see the article linked.
Violent Zionist counter protesters came in before the police cleared the protest site. Hurling racist and sexist abuse at the protesters they charge them ripping down barricades and beating people with metal pipes, causing life-threatening injuries amongst the peaceful protesters.
During this entire time, and for hours afterward the LAPD was not only not there to break them up, but they had actually left after being attacked by the pro-Zionist counter-protesters.
None of this was reported in this complete puff piece by @BBCNews .
Instead it repeats all of the nonsense talking points about Jewish students feeling unsafe, despite the fact that a large percentage of the protesters themselves were Jewish.
Contrast the linked article with the article published in The @dailybruin, @UCLA's student newspaper.
Q: Is it permissible to pray behind the Shī'ah, eat their slaughtered meat or marry with them according to the Sunnī conception of the sacred law & creed?
A: The term Shī'ah doesn't describe one homogenous group that necessarily has a shared set of beliefs.
Originally, it...
meant anyone who supported a contender to political rule who was from the family of the messenger of Allāhﷺ. In this context, many of the great Sunnī Imāms were so politically inclined, & when it is mentioned in the biographical works that they were inclined toward Tashayyu'...

Plant Based Eid?
What was up until very recently taken as a recurring joke amongst some who had cast themselves as "progressive Muslims," seems now to be crystallizing into a yearly observance.
"Plant Based-Eid," is not funny.
It is a satanic ritual, that those who have...
either precariously weak connection with Islām, or outright antagonism cloaked in cultural appropriation, whether mindfully or mindlessly, made into a mockery of Allah's Dīn.
I myself go long stretches at a time with reduced or absent meat consumption & I'm happy to try out...

It's really interesting that the great majority of Muslims are greeting @NavDifferences statement with welcome; the greatest question they have is why didn't it get written sooner?
I agree.
As for the few that object forcefully, they are of a few types...
1- "It represents a defeated mentality outside a Muslim frame of reference, talking of coexisting & control constitutional rights."
We live in a non-Muslim country in which we interact with others through the framework of the constitution as minorities.
Whoever doesn't like...

Eat and Drink A Little: Indeed You Are Criminals
Alhamdulillāh, today the ailing military dictator, who shared a name with the last Persian emperor who threw dirt on the emissary of the messenger of Allāh ﷺ, Parvez, died.

That he deposed a fairly stable democratically elected government is quickly forgotten by the hypocritical liberal global elites.
When I went to study in Pakistan, none of the large Madāris of Karachi would admit me because he promulgated a law banning outside students of 'ilm.

The Khwājagān were a lineage of spiritual masters of Transoxinia starting with Khwājah 'abd al-Khāliq Ghijdwānī, who laid the foundation for what would later, in his seventh lineal successor, Khwājah Shāh Bahā al-Dīn Naqshband, become the Naqshbandī Tarīqah.
In order, the...
Khwājagān would proceed to refine their processes and progressively initiate more and more people into a life dedicated to the remembrance of Allāh.
They firmly cast their lot in with the methodology and approach to 'Aqīdah, Fiqh and Tasawwuf of the Ahl al-Sunnah & eventually...

Khwājah Shāh Bahā al-Dīn Naqshband
We visited on a Friday morning.
The Masjid Khānqāh complex was one of the most austere & magestically breathtaking sights I've seen in my life.
Architecturally, it was a melding of the two Easts, combining an eastern Islamic æsthetic with...
wood & water to attain a Muslim Feng Shui in which even the lines and angles carry a silent, but brilliant remembrance in them.
Its sublime beauty was only outstripped by the awe-inducing tranquility of the serene resting place of the spiritual grandfather of Shāh Waliyyullāh...
When the lion is out of earshot, the jackal and hyena say to each other, "Did you know, my father was king?"
Everyone claims to be on truth and a great defender of Islam. What do the book of Allah, the sunnah of His messenger, and a sound intellect say?
Contents:
-Knowledge is a trust.
-Context is important.
-There is an obligation upon every Muslim to revere the people of knowledge.

Just got off the phone with a lawyer who asked if he could ask questions about cases he works on.
I told him my rate.
"But I just wanna be able to ask on the phone.
I said my rate. If you're making money, I'm making money.
"But Shaykh so-&-so doesn't charge."
Then ask him.
"Do you charge your students?"
No I do not. If you want to come sit in dars, you're welcome to do so.
"But you charge too much."
You're welcome to go elsewhere. You called me. I didn't call you.
"That's just ridiculous."
Allāh give you the recompense of what you said, āmīn.

'Ibādah is the performance of worship.
'Ubūdiyyah is the perpetual mindfulness that one is a slave of Allāh.
Shaykh Hāshim Ahmad
An 'Ubūdiyyah model for business is different than Sharī'ah compliance.
An atheist's business can be Sharī'ah compliant.
An atheist can never be Ubūdiyyah compliant.

If your serious Muslim conference, group or org functions just fine without even a theoretical commitment to the authority of our sacred Sharī'ah, then don't be surprised if I'm not enthused about it.
It's a Styrofoam box in the microwave. It's toxic & I'm not eating from it.
Using words like Muslim, Islām, Islamic, Halāl, Sharī'ah, Qur'ān, Sunnah, etc without submitting to the sovereign authority of Allāh over the creation & Muhammad as His messengerﷺ is a treachery akin to a snake hiding in a baby's cradle.
Don't be the snake or trust it in there.

I saw a glimpse of another way of living.
One in which people would have loved for others that which they loved for themselves, if they even thought about themselves all that much.
One in which men and women, elders and youth, family and strangers didn't constantly resent one another, rather kept respect and smiles as their default code for interaction.

Do you sometimes feel like your race is going extinct?
Feel like you are being demographically overrun by people from foreign lands & stuff?
Instead of shooting innocent people & wasting gigabytes of online forum storage, try:
-Getting into shape & learning enough charm to woo
-Pick a mate of your preferred race & produce plentiful offspring, which you rear according to traditional values
-Practice fiscal discipline, making smart longterm choices like paying off a house rather than buying on payments, going to concerts, or meth, be it crystal or other

Young Desī man, congratulations on your upcoming marriage:
Some advice:
Under no circumstances can you agree to wear a pink turban with golden threads & sparkles, nor powder/blush your cheeks.
You'll get no where in life by being prettier than your bride.
If you serve machine slaughtered chicken on your wedding night, don't cry to me when your firstborn grows up to go to prison because he faked an arson and cried homophobia to collect to collect insurance money on his failed Qādiyānī-Grindr app startup office.
