@SaladinAlDronni @BrantPhilip_ 10/ Video from Kidal were the JNIM took control over an oil station.

@SaladinAlDronni @BrantPhilip_ 13/ A Niger 🇳🇪 Air Force plane landed in Burkina Faso - Bobo Dialousso.
Unclear why for now but this could be a hint for other aes states to send few troops to support Mali.

@SaladinAlDronni @BrantPhilip_ 15/ second official statement made by malian army

@SaladinAlDronni @BrantPhilip_ 18/ It seems like both russians and malians are now releasing footages and videos of their counter attacks showing dead bodies abandoned vehicles including drones.
20/ Footage showing JNIM commander Abdourhamane Zaza, and his troops stealing stuff from the malian tuareg general El Hadj Ag Gamou in Kidal governorate building.
Zaza was the JNIM commander in charge of the Tinzawaten attack back in july 2024 which led to the death of multiple Wagner members and considered as one of the biggest russian loss.
@SaladinAlDronni @BrantPhilip_ 21/ More footage from Sévaré.
28/ Since this morning the malian army released 2 communiqué saying the situation was in control.
The government also released phone numbers to reach out for civilians.
The national TV released a special intervention asking citizens to stay calm, and more importantly to not record any incident and publish it and rather to follow only the malian army communiqué.
29/ Heavy clashes are still reported at Sévaré.
One helicopter conducted at least 4 airstrikes before leaving the area while ground forces are still fighting.

NOTAM is in place until 27 April
31/ Calm is back in Bamako and vicinity.
Seen videos of tuareg bodies (assuming its JNIM) lynched by crowd.
One of them is tied to a rope attached to a car, which is dragging him through the streets.
Russian military bases in Syria had been part of the global deployment architecture in Africa for years.
With Khmeimim and Tartous, the Russians had a strategic node that ensured the deployment of men and military equipment on the African continent, at a time when major changes were underway, notably on the mercenary front (Wagner being gradually replaced by Africa Corps).
The timing is rather amusing: Russia's Deputy Defense Minister has been on the African continent in recent weeks, with new visits to Libya / Mali / Togo and Equatorial Guinea.
At the same time, Prime Minister Novak and the Russian Interior Minister visited Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali.
The fall of Assad in Syria will considerably slow down Russian operations on the African continent.
For Wagner (Mali/CAR and a little in Sudan/Libya), this is a godsend: they can continue to stay in the field longer than planned, and will continue to take advantage of local resources and contracts to finance themselves.
For Africa Corps (the new entity set to replace Wagner since Prigojine's death, deployed in Niger, Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea) the subject is completely different.
Without supplies, they'll quickly find themselves in trouble on the ground, and their credibility will suffer, making Wagner's departure even more complicated.
A temporary solution could be found by the Russians in Libya (Al Jufra) or Sudan (Port Sudan) to have a new logistical point, but I'm not sure about these outlets.
For the moment, Russian operations in Africa seem to be in trouble, and Rybar's comment is very interesting in this sense, although we shouldn't jump too fast to conclusions either.
🇸🇩🇰🇬| A Kyrgyz plane appears to have been shot down by the RSF in Sudan.
The aircraft is believed to be EX-76011, according to the wreckage found, and was carrying crew. A Russian passport and an engineer's work card, also potentially Russian, were also found.
I see a lots of people being surprised by the azerbaijani activities in New Caledonia so here’s a short thread :
Back in end of 2023, a "copy pasta" campain was launched on twitter and other plateform using this AI generated picture to denounce the agreement betweent 🇫🇷 & 🇦🇲
For the record, few weeks after the complete cession of Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan, France supplied Armenia with 50 armored vehicles "Bastion" which triggered a large campain from Baku against France.
🇦🇿🇳🇨🇫🇷🚨| Following the current incidents in New Caledonia, a significant influence OP has been launched on internet against France.
Dozens of burner accounts appeared, sharing messages attempting to make the link between algerian history of decolonization and New Caledonia.
🇦🇿🇳🇨🇫🇷🚨| At this time it is unclear wether there’s only Azerbaijan behind this info OP or any other state (China.. Russia ..).
This is not the first influence OP they push on here.
They are also very active on different levels, including political and local.
🇦🇿🇳🇨🇫🇷🚨| For your information, there are violent struggles going on in New Caledonia.
At least 1 gendarmes died and tonight France announced the banning of Tiktok in New Caledonia as well as the dispatch of the army and police forces.
All this is due to the fact that a constitutional reform for New Caledonia has been voted through in France, which is contested by the independantists.
