USDA SHOCK REPORT: WHEAT PLANTING HITS LOWEST LEVEL SINCE 1919 AS DUST BOWL LOOMS
The USDA just released its May WASDE report and the numbers confirm a full-scale agricultural breakdown. Wheat planting has hit the lowest level since 1919. The upcoming harvest is forecast as the smallest in over 50 years with hard red winter wheat—the flour wheat for bread, pasta, and baked goods—down a crushing 36 percent in one season. The grocery store still looks normal today only because you are eating the final products of the old system planted before the war, fertilized before the price spike, and grown before the drought took hold.
THE USDA BOMBSHELL
➡️ US wheat production for the upcoming year is forecast at 1.561 billion bushels, down 424 million from last year.
➡️ This marks the lowest wheat harvest since the early 1970s.
➡️ Winter wheat is down 25 percent overall with hard red winter wheat plunging 36 percent.
➡️ All wheat yield is 5.8 bushels per acre below last year’s record.
➡️ 40 percent of the crop is already rated poor or very poor.
THE FERTILIZER LOCKDOWN
➡️ Iran shut seven urea and ammonia plants when the war broke out and they have not reopened.
➡️ One-third of all globally traded nitrogen fertilizer is still trapped behind the closed Strait of Hormuz.
➡️ American fertilizer prices surged more than 40 percent in the first month of the war and have not normalized.
➡️ 70 percent of farmers surveyed by the American Farm Bureau say they cannot afford the fertilizer they need this season.
THE DROUGHT AND FARMER NIGHTMARE
➡️ The southern plains have been locked in drought through the entire growing season with no break in the forecast.
➡️ Farmers are paying 2026 input prices but getting crop prices from the 1970s and 1980s.
➡️ One Oklahoma Farm Bureau leader told CNBC they face the brutal choice of losing money or cutting fertilizer.
➡️ Multi-generation family farms are folding under the pressure and those operations do not come back.
THE GROCERY TIMELINE
➡️ Flour wheat collapse hits bread, buns, pasta, cereal, crackers, cookies, and hundreds of processed foods first by autumn.
➡️ Corn production is down 6 percent with ending stocks at multi-year lows, pushing meat, dairy, and egg prices higher later.
➡️ Beef herd rebuild is already underway and will keep protein prices elevated for the next 18 to 24 months.
➡️ The food you stock now buys you time before the new higher prices lock in across the entire basket.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The conditions that just delivered America’s smallest wheat crop in over 50 years remain unchanged for next year’s planting: closed Hormuz, unaffordable fertilizer, and unrelenting drought. The current grocery store is the last echo of a system that no longer exists.
You are witnessing the start of a multi-year food supply reset that could echo the Dust Bowl.

🧵Some now say “The Iran war is the real turning point that ends Western hegemony” Wrong.
The real catalyst that ended 500 years of Western European + US dominance was the Ukraine war.
I argued this back in my Dec 17, 2023 thread after it started — and every month since has proven it right. 👉
From 1492 onward, Western Europeans (then the USA) ruled the world: colonialism, gunboats, industrial power, then after 1991 the unipolar moment with 800+ military bases, the dollar as world currency, and control over IMF/World Bank.
That long era died in Ukraine.
US goal was clear: use Ukraine as proxy to destabilize Russia, achieve regime change, and regain access to Russian resources.
It failed spectacularly:
Russian military could not be defeated. It became stronger.
Unprecedented sanctions failed. Russia’s economy grows ~3%, Europe is in recession.
here are some thoughts 🧵
I am in no doubt about where we stand in our Western countries. We do not live in a democracy, as we are led to believe. We live in an oligarchy. This is a system in which there is a thin upper class of elites who basically control the vast majority of people. This is nothing new. In ancient Greece, Aristotle did an excellent job of analysing how such a system works and what it looks like:
These oligarchs are certainly part of some groups and connections in one form or another. But it's not a specific group like the Bilderberger or the WEF Schwab Group that determine our destiny in some conspiratorial secret meetings.
I think Dr. Shiva describes this very well in this video, how the power mechanisms of the oligarchs work. He describes this with the concept of swarm intelligence:
Q: Why has Iran not yet retaliated against Israel?
A: Iran doesn't want to fuck up the real big war.
Q: What is the real war?

What is the power of the USA actually based on? It is its USD financial system. A FIAT money system backed by wars, power projection and bullying. Not backed by gold, real production and commodities. It is a system built on debt and money printing and the privilege of the reserve currency of the USD that has guaranteed the need for USD government securities.
The USA still feels like a great ominous power. However, this power is on the wane. Many of the US power elites do not want to recognise and acknowledge this.
After the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 AD, various civilizations and empires rose to prominence in different parts of the world. It's important to note that dominance was often regional rather than global,
as communication and interaction between distant regions were limited during this time. Here are some of the civilizations and regions that played significant roles in the post-Roman world:
What Nord Stream and Russian gas have to do with GAZA -
and the new geopolitical situation in the Middle East
A thread 🧵
Sept 2022: Attack on the Nord Stream gas pipeline, Europe's most important energy infrastructure, which has supplied the industrialized nation of Germany in particular with cheap energy from Russia and has therefore played a decisive role in Europe's prosperity.
Who did it? The motives and the ability to carry out such a complicated operation narrow down the suspects to a state actor that has always had a great interest in putting an end to Nord Stream.
