🧵United States v. Rush

David Rush is a former Senior Executive Service (SES) and CIA employee.

He was arrested last week on a complaint charging him with theft of public money.

But there's a bit more going on here. Image
It is not known when Rush stopped working for the CIA or why, but we know from the affidavit that he requested and received "a significant quantity of foreign currency and tens of millions of dollars in gold bars for work-related expenses" between November 2025 and March 2026.

So his employment must have run at least until then.Image
At some point, I'm guessing between March and early May, the CIA began an investigation/review of what Rush was up to.

They were "unable to locate the gold bars or significant amounts of the foreign currency Rush received pursuant to his requests or to identify the intended use of these funds."Image
CIA Director Ratcliffe referred the matter to the FBI. Image
The FBI's investigation "revealed that Rush provided false information about his education and military service on his application to the [CIA] and fraudulently took military leave after he separated from the military." Image
The FBI asked the Defense Personnel Records Information Retrieval Service (DPRIS) and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) about David Rush. Image
Records showed that Rush enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1997 and was honorably discharged from the Navy Reserves in February 2015.

Put a mental pin in that. Image
Rush applied to the CIA three times between 2006 and 2009.

His FIRST application said he had earned

- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Information Systems from Clemson
- Master of Science in Computing Technology from RPI
- Master of Science in Computing Technology from the Naval Postgraduate SchoolImage
His SECOND application said he had earned

- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Information Systems from Clemson
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from RPI

And there was no mention of a Masters from Naval Postgrad Image
His THIRD application said he had earned

- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Information Systems from Clemson
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from RPI
- Aircraft Test and Evaluation certification from the United States Naval Test Pilot School

This app was accepted.Image
When he applied for TS/SCI, he stated he had earned

- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Information Systems from Clemson
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from RPI Image
And when he applied for the Senior Executive Service in 2018, Rush stated "he was a graduate of the United States Air Force Test Pilot School, and he was the current Director of Test for a 145-person, 18-aircraft joint Army/Navy weapons test organization [and that] he had an eleven-year tenure as a Thesis/Dissertation advisor at the Air Force Institute of Technology."Image
Yeah, those were lies. Image
Rush never went to Clemson, never went to RPI, and was never a pilot in the Navy. Image
Rush doesn't have any pilot certifications or licensing. Image
"Federal employee salaries are determined by a number of factors, including the employee’s education level."

Submitting false information on your education background to a federal employer is a no-no. Image
As we learned earlier, "Rush was honorably discharged on February 1,2015, as an 0-3 Lieutenant. The investigation has revealed that RUSH, through at least on or about September 2025, represented to the USG that he was in the U.S. Navy Reserves at the rank of 0-6 (Captain)."

And claimed 744 of military leave on his timesheet.

This means that, through the false representation above, he has stolen approximately $77k in compensation.Image
But what about all that gold and foreign currency? Image
The FBI searched Rush's home on May 18, 2026.

They seized:

- 303 gold bars worth approximately $40 million
- $2 million in cash
- 35 luxury watches (the value of those could be six to eight figures). Image
So Rush was charged under 18 USC 641 (theft of public money) and arrested on May 20, 2026. Image
On May 22 he waived his prelim, bond was denied at that time, and a detention hearing has been scheduled for May 29. Yesterday counsel jointly requested it be rescheduled for June 5. Image
An indictment, which will surely bring more charges, is inbound. Image
So uh...

A Navy reservist, an infosys tech, lied his way into the CIA in 2009, lied about his education to secure a higher pay rate, lied to secure a TS/SCI clearance, lied about his military service to secure a higher pay rate, lied his way about all of the above to get into the SES, and then conned the CIA out of $40mil worth of gold plus millions in cash?
And what work was this con artist turned SES officer doing that resulted him in being handed 303 gold bars plus "a significant quantity of foreign currency" for "work-related expenses"?????? Image

🧵YSK:

The "data center hysteria" is largely a repacking of the "climate change hysteria."

The hysteria is fueled, in part, by bad data, lack of perspective, and influence operations that lead with emotional bait.

Like the 20th-century predictions of climate catastrophes, it is another form of anti-capitalism (pro-communism) propaganda meant to capture your mind through fear.Image
A teachable moment.

In 2025, a left-wing anti-AI author, Karen Hao, published her non-fiction book 'Empire of AI: Dreams and Nightmares in Sam Altman's OpenAI.'

It's done very well. A NYT bestseller and winner of multiple awards, the book received much praise. Image
Anti-AI and anti-data center sentiments, which go hand in hand, are now mainstream, and this book boosted them there.

You may have noticed the uptick in opposition to both.

Sometimes the angle of surveillance, aka "Big Brother," is also included. Image

🧵Look past the language of Trump trying to "control" elections, and you see that DHS and DOJ are hard at work trying to clean up our elections.

Reuters uncovered a broader‑than‑previously known Trump administration effort to gain federal control over elections, historically run locally, in at least eight states – using investigations, raids and demands for access to balloting systems and voter ID."Image
Here's where Reuters gets the language of "control" from. It's understandable, but it's also hyperbole—hyperbole that Trump also uses, so fair is fair. Image
About one third of the way into the article, Reuters admits Trump isn't really trying to implement a federal takeover of elections.

"Rather than seek a sweeping federal takeover of elections, the administration appears to be testing constitutional limits one state and one county at a time"Image

Kerkhoff v. Blaze Media LLC

Steve Baker, Joseph Hanneman, and their company Veritas Regnat LLC have failed to respond to the libel and slander lawsuit brought against them over their erroneous claims that former Capitol Police officer Shauni Kerkhoff was responsible for the J5 Pipe Bombs.

The judge has ordered the clerk to file an entry of default against them and for the plaintiffs to file a motion for default judgment.

Blaze Media, which was also sued, has filed an unopposed motion for more time to respond to the suit. The judge gave them until June 11, 2026. Image
In public responses to the lawsuit, Baker has put on a "bring it on!" act, as if he were eager to fight it, to show what evidence he supposedly has, and to use the discovery process to expose some conspiracy to frame Brian J. Cole for the J5 pipe bombs when all along it was Shauni Kerkhoff who planted them as part of a sinister "fedsurrection" plot... or something.

Kerkhoff v. Blaze Media LLC

Plaintiff Kerkhoff, who is suing Blaze Media, Steve Baker, Joseph Hanneman, and their company Veritas Regnet for falsely accusing Kerkhoff of being the J5 Pipe Bomber, has filed for a default against Steve Baker, as he has failed to respond to the lawsuit.Image
Baker is fully aware of the suit and is still pushing his bullshit theory that Kerkhoff is behind the pipe bombs.

🧵Media doesn't like it when the DOJ and the FBI get the green light from POTUS and the AG to prosecute people who compromise national security and then hide behind the 1A.

"The stack of news articles Trump provided the acting attorney general was about [MIL] rescue operations" Image
"Blanche vowed to secure subpoenas specifically targeting the records of reporters who have worked on sensitive national security stories..." Image
"In recent months, prosecutors have sent subpoenas to media organizations as well as to email and phone providers seeking information in leak inquiries" Image

DOJ Investigators Gain Access to Fulton's 2020 Election Records as County is Hit w/ New Subpoenas

Lawfare efforts from Abbe Lowell, Norm Eisen, and Fulton County had halted the DOJ’s review of the seized records—some 600 boxes of materials from the 2020 Election.

A federal court has now ruled in favor of the DOJ.
On January 28, 2026, the FBI raided a storage facility in Fulton County, Georgia, to seize records related to the 2020 election. The raid was conducted pursuant to several search warrants arising from a criminal probe into the 2020 election.

That probe is being led by Thomas Albus, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri and Special Counsel to the Attorney General.

During the raid, the FBI collected more than 600 boxes of records, including tabulator receipts, ballots, envelopes, digital records, and other materials.

My video on that is here

Days later, the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections filed legal action seeking (1) to stop the DOJ from reviewing the seized materials and (2) a court order requiring the records to be returned.

These motions came in addition to two other legal actions already underway before the raid: one in the Superior Court of Fulton County and another in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

High-powered attorneys Abbe Lowell and Norm Eisen joined Fulton County in this lawfare effort.
