I’ve been asking people to reconsider their adversarial approach to this situation for years. These pleas occasionally get a like, but the public has not shifted its behaviour.

I sometimes feel powerless to impact others, but then I realize I’m up against military grade PSYOPS.

I understand the mechanism of this PSYOPS. I’ve described it in detail, to no avail. People still resort to stereotypical defence tactics when they perceive themselves under attack.

And we are under attack. It’s been relentless since 2015. So this is engrained behaviour now.

It’s like a reflex arc. Or a Pavlovian response. But it gives me hope that others can see the aggravated nature of continuing this behaviour arc. It will continue the process of dividing us more and more until reconciliation is impossible. Like it is in the US right now.

My frustration is compounded by the existence of Canadian forms of exceptionalism that are preventing most people from recognizing they’ve been rendered useful idiots that emote rage, fear or disgust on cue.

Critical thinking is absent. Most people function on pure emotion now.

That is the whole purpose of reflexive control. Behaviour is harnessed by tapping into our character traits and bastardizing them through fear, rage & disgust.

Russia’s hybrid war is based on the Soviet technique of reflexive control. Using disinfo, cyber attacks, blackmail, provocations, fraud and other active measures, hybrid war creates a virtual reality that prompts political decisions without being revealed as manipulation.

Reflexive Control changes opponent’s view of the world, so they are tricked into making self-defeating decisions the manipulator agent wants without the victim even knowing it. This is achieved by creating a simulacrum, or “virtual reality.”

This simulacrum influences the decision-making centers of the target of manipulation. Since the target now thinks that the simulacrum constructed by the manipulator constitutes reality, the target will make decisions that correspond to the construct.

By meticulously studying its targets, the manipulator comes to know their worldview and what prompts their decision-making.

In Timothy Thomas’ terms, this is called gaining “reflex.”

In a conflict where reflexive control is used, the adversary with the highest degree of reflex wins, as he can out-manipulate the other.

Which means Alberta’s stolen personal data will be used to engineer a vote for secession, like Brexit and like Donbas & Crimea in Ukraine.

@JasonOnTheDrums is intelligent & compassionate. But he’s under reflexive control. As is every other Social Media participant. Including me. I’m resilient, but not immune. No one is. But the myth that we can override a reflex arc because we’re too smart is intransigent.

The myth is a key element in this PSYOPS project because it is the veil that protects all participants from acknowledging their own vulnerability. Admitting that we have been fooled is humiliating. So most avoid it at all costs.

There is wisdom in the Bible. This one is as ancient as humanity itself. It’s a universal truth. Reflexive control is weaponizing this human frailty to create behaviour and outcomes without the use of force.

When one believes they are too smart to be fooled, they are mistaken.

I’ve often cautioned people that believing your political opponent is dumb is not advisable. Yet this is what happens when we feel attacked. We don’t use our critical thinking, we rely on instinct & emotions.

This reflex arc is the central feature of military grade PSYOPS that is being used to create impossible to resolve divisions in society.

Every insult you hurl at your perceived “enemy” is reinforcement of this principle.

Except fellow Canadian citizens are not the enemy.

But this can be undone. First you must acknowledge your own vulnerability.

You cannot claim to support democratic principles and values if you belittle some individuals. There are no people who are more equal than the rest. And none who are less equal.

You cannot be compassionate when you’re peering down your nose at others. That’s called pity.

Humanity has developed many character traits that advance or hinder our development as a species.

The current battle for dominance and control is occurring within each person right now.

We choose our character traits. We choose to reject or tolerate others character traits.

These human beliefs and values have been passed on orally for millennia. Written down and codified in legal texts called constitutions.

But character is not able to be revealed through ease and comfort. It’s only revealed through struggle and experience.

Reflexive control erases character and replaces it with fear, rage and disgust. Base and intense, these emotions block critical thinking. Reducing individuals to displays of virtue instead of acts of character based on beliefs and values.

It’s not bigotry that is at the root of these adversarial identity wars being foisted on the public. It’s people’s behaviour being controlled by convincing them their friends and neighbours are their sworn enemies.

We will lose the secession vote if this isn’t addressed.

You can EASILY recognize the strategies being used as they are described in print and video.

But first you must acknowledge your own vulnerability and recognize all of us possess the same vulnerability. Including those who you are being coaxed to hate.
