#CEPAWithOman
The India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) entered into force on June 1, 2026.

This landmark pact grants duty-free access to 98% of Indian exports to Oman, significantly boosting market access for engineering, textiles, pharmaceuticals,
and agricultural products while strengthening strategic, technology-driven ties.

Key Aspects of the India-Oman CEPA:

Market Access & Trade: India secures 100% duty-free access on 98.08% of tariff lines (covering 99.38% of export value), allowing products like textiles,
electronics, chemicals, and agricultural goods to enter Oman without duties, effective from Day One. [1, 2]

Significance: The agreement is expected to increase bilateral trade and enhance cooperation in intellectual property rights.
It is viewed as a vital strategic move to bolster supply-chain linkages in the Gulf region.

Services & Investment: The deal covers comprehensive trade in services, allowing 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for Indian companies in key Omani service sectors.
Professional Mobility: Enhanced mobility for Indian professionals, including those in IT, accounting, and healthcare, was included, with provisions for increased quotas for staff transfers.

Digitalization: The agreement incorporates a fully digitalized Certificate of
Origin framework to streamline trade. [1]

This agreement is expected to significantly benefit Indian MSMEs and boost overall economic integration between the two nations.

It's good that Vir Sanghvi starts elaborating the point that almost every nation goes thru a phase when prosperity enables travel, but good manners don't accompany it.

Some points on Indian tourists:

theprint.in/opinion/sharp-…
* Can afford to travel but are not really rich

* Are rich enough but penny pinch, converting prices to Indian rupees.

* Newly prosperous but have not travelled much even at home. Lack sophistication.

* Inured to not following rules -traffic, noise pollution, queues - at home.
* The solution & the real requirement is to stamp out corruption and enforce RULES inflexibly within India.

We have been putting up with VIP culture, ViP darshan, VIP convoys, ear-splitting music, murderous driving, food & medicine adulteration & discourteous behaviour for years

America wants a weak China AND a weak India.

To this end:
* It will promise defence supplies but not deliver jet engines to throttle Tejas

* Get it's active press & media to give a biased view of India to discourage investment

* Postpone Investments

1/2
* Get credit rating agencies to downgrade India.

* This, apart from the brazen regime changes carried out in #Bangladesh and #Nepal

* Using various Christian denominations to set fire in Manipur & other North Eastern States

* And now @abhijeet_dipke a New American Cockroach.

#MultipolarWorld
Stating the obvious is the most easy thing to do.

Let's look at the world in a slightly different way.

Neither America, nor China , nor Russia are Superpowers.
None of them are able to do what they want by themselves.

* America can't subdue Iran
* China cant take over Taiwan despite all its resources

* Russia is unable to subdue Ukraine after 4 years of War

SO WE HAVE ENTERED A MULTIPOLAR WORLD AS JAISHANKAR SAID.

The Great Powers, too arrogant to use the appelation, call it a Polycentric World [@KlRajiv]
India's importance will, in fact, grow, not recede. The world will need a Growth Engine to propel it.

Today, that is clearly India.

India may end up becoming a benign Great Power, a kind of Great Power the World has not seen till date.

* Powerful enough to remain unchallenged.

The paper by Charles Matthew Whish was titled:
“On the Hindu Quadrature of the Circle, and Infinite Series for π” -1835-

Whish didn’t say “Newton copied India.”

He was more measured—but his implication was clear:
youtube.com/shorts/FRYxDZ6…
Advanced mathematical ideas resembling calculus existed in India well before Newton.

Whish studied palm-leaf manuscripts attributed to Madhava of Sangamagrama and his successors.

What startled him:

They had infinite series expansions for π, sine, cosine, and arctangent
These were strikingly similar to the later work of Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz

And crucially—they predated them by 200–300 years.

The Kerala School discovered key building blocks of Calculus earlier.

*CAN WE BUILD NEW IITs BY JUST WATCHING IPL?

It comes from Prof. Mayank Shrivastava,Professor at IISc Bengaluru, one of India’s leading researchers.

He asks: "India doesn’t lack money. Indians don’t lack money. What we lack is the vision to invest in the future."
Look at the numbers:

📌 IPL 2023 revenue: ₹11,770 crore
📌 BCCI surplus: ₹5,120 crore
📌 3-year IPL profits: ₹15,000 crore
📌 Potential tax (40%): Enough to build 10 new IITs
📌 Franchise profits: ₹800–1,200 crore/year →

Tax potential:₹6,000 crore/year for research
But here’s the irony:

⚠️ BCCI pays no income tax (charitable status)
⚠️ Research labs pay GST on equipment
⚠️ Bollywood, religious trusts, sports leagues = tax breaks

Dr. Shrivastava calls it out: “Entertainment is subsidised. Research is taxed.”

* When a filmmaker clearly publishes a disclaimer regarding, both time line & facts, WHY ARE YOU BEIMG MORE LOYAL THAN NAPAKISTAN IN DISHING IT?

* Do you agree that Napakistan fought 4 wars against us?

* The Napak Army & the Jamaat carried out a systematic genocide of both Hindu & Muslim Bengalis all of which was document by Archer Blood in the Blood Telegrams?

* They killed 1000s of our civilians, bombing/shooting terrorist attacks.
If at the end of all this, as an Indian (assuming you are one) why would even a "propaganda" film against a vile enemy. BOTHER YOU SO MUCH that you try to tear it apart with more anger than even a Napakistani will muster (It is a hit in Napakistan-Pirated, of course)?
