Last night I checked my Oura ring app and was surprised to see my gender listed as "sex assigned at birth."
I found this unsettling.
My gender was not "assigned" to me by a nurse or doctor back in 1986.
I'm a woman because I was born that way.

I believe in the right of gay people to marry. I believe in equal rights.
But I do not - for ONE second - believe my gender was "assigned to me" by a nurse.
It is a core part of my biology.
Not an output of the State.

If someone wants to dress like the opposite sex, great!
If you aren't hurting anybody, you should be free to live the way you want.
But this politically correct manipulation of speech is disturbing.
It says my gender is decided by "professionals," not science, God, or me.

If the goal is to ensure trans customers have the correct biology selected, why not just write "Sex" and put the rest in an information section?
Instead, to accommodate the likely 0.1% of @ouraring customers, we must ALL say our gender is "assigned" to us.
