The Karnataka government, facing criticism for its action of stopping migrant workers from leaving for their hometowns, has finally agreed to resume train services.

The decision was taken after thousands of workers chose to take the extreme step of walking home, in the absence of trains.

@pushkarv caught up with a few workers on the highway on Thursday.

While the government initially blustered and said that no workers were forced to stay, many termed this a violation of their fundamental rights.
