Although I rolled out Cursor, I'm replacing it with Claude Code
The Cursor pricing drama is happening because Cursor is unprofitable and will fail
because their business model is forced to chase cost-optimizations instead of becoming the best at context scaffolding ... 1/
Companies roll out Cursor because it turns "normal users" into "stronger devs," not because it makes them "power users."
The power user workflow is heavily focused on context scaffolding instead, so Cursor is not the right tool.

Here are all the ways to do funding carry (funding arb), in order of simplest to hardest:
1. Same Exchange - Short Perp Long Spot 2. Same Exchange - Short the Quarterly Long Spot 3. Same Exchange - Borrow/Short Spot, Long Perp 4. Two Exchanges - Short Perp on One, Long Perp on Other 5. Statarb Factor - Short all the High Funding, Long Low Funding 6. Dynamic Funding Arb
1. Same Exchange - Short Perp Long Spot
The easiest one you hear about is on a single exchange. This usually pays the least because it's easy to move capital around and you may even be able to use the spot asset as collateral.

You'll that a quant alpha like autocorrelation or an effect fading, I find that applying it discretionary can still eke out performance
e.g. with a basic automated regime filter, it'll start failing, but there's something in experience, intuition, that can make it work

Example, a simple strat in crypto that just buys the top/breakouts works for a long time (chart above is just dollar bars & breakouts w/ a hedge, nothing fancy)
'cause the effect is you can't easily short alts and ppl are dollar denominated

What is cross-sectional momentum and how would you build a crypto portfolio with this?
🧵
0/ Imagine you think ETH is going up and SOL is go up even more, you can express your bet with any of the following:
1. Equal Weighted: Split your capital in half and buy both 2. Spread: Long SOL and Short ETH 3. Momentum Rotation: If SOL pumps, buy SOL. If ETH pumps, buy ETH
