.@TulipProtocol launched in Feb 2021 (or smth), one of the first DeFi dApps, right after @RaydiumProtocol and Serum.

They wrote Rust code before Anchor was a thing, without any of the infrastructure, support and tooling/docs we see today.

They achieved $1B in TVL at one point. Image 2 years later, a random analytics company woke up on the wrong side of the bed and accused them of rugging because they had a very "strange protocol".

Sure, Tulip is closed source for their own reasons. I may not fully agree, but "strange protocol" and "rugging" is ridiculous. Image

This is a thread that will cause a lot of people to hate me.

But someone has to call out certain problems, publicly.

As a disclaimer, i admit that Aptos is in no better spot than Solana. I'm sure Aptos will face its own share of issues eventually.

Alright, here we go: 1) it is complete bullshit that people who should serve the ecosystem without bias, own personal stakes in Solana DeFi protocols or are advisors for protocols.

Solana has a history of playing favorites, and there are many defi teams that are frustrated about this.
