Justin Trudeau did not make me a Liberal. Stephen Harper did. Pierre Poilievre is working hard to ensure I remain a Liberal

I want you to imagine a jigsaw puzzle. It took a long time to complete but it is finished. Look at it. It's an image of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, enshrined within our Constitution. 1/5 Image It is what now guides our Supreme Court of Canada in every decision they make. 9 wise, educated, experienced Justices making the ultimate decisions about what constitutes LEGAL laws in Canada. Not one man or woman. NINE highly qualified Justices. 2/5

This Clear and Present Danger to our Canadian Democracy: 1/4
cbc.ca/news/politics/… Charter of Rights and Freedoms enshrined in our Constitution in 1982. Harper loathed it because our Supreme Court is bound to make decisions based on what it prescribes. Going back to 'pre-Charter' time would get rid of a lot of annoying 'values'. All that would take would be 2/4

A visit to the Conservative Party of Canada Constitution website:
As a very young man, Poilievre said the worst thing about Canada was its 'welfare state'. He hasn't changed his opinion one iota. His 20 year track record voting AGAINST support programs demonstrates this. 1/7 Anyone who thinks he is going to help the poor, the hungry, the unhoused, the disabled, the ill... needs to understand that such aid is against his basic beliefs. On to the CPC Constitution as currently written. It takes very little reading between the lines to prove this 2/7

Pierre Poilievre's not so good very bad day: He rose in HOC and declared a 'terrorist attack' in what turned out to be a car accident and tried to use it to attack PM Trudeau. He very falsely claimed Trudeau 'forcing Ukraine to have a Carbon Tax' when Ukraine already has one... as required to join the EU. And then, Strike #3, it was revealed Conservative Senators were, with considerable evidence, being accused of 'physical and verbal threats, bullying and harassment' a non-Conservative Senator. Andrew Scheer also involved.

Time for some straight FACTS about the 3 year pause on Carbon 'Tax' on Heating Oil:
Fact 1: The pause on the Carbon Tax is NOT exclusive to the Maritime Provinces but applies in all jurisdictions where the federal fuel charge is in effect to those heating with oil across Canada. Fact 1 Link to article:

CPC MPs seem to have devoted today to ethics problems in the Liberal Party. Okay, #1 Minister NG made a serious error in not recusing herself re 2 smallish contracts. However this pearl clutching outrage being expressed by CPC is over the top and in fact, farcial considering... the records of their own party when they were in power for about 9 years. Harper brought in the Ethics Commissioner in 2007. After that time 8 of his MPs faced ethics violations, 5 were found guilty. This doesn't bring into account the number of times the CPC was found guilty...

Why is Chinese Premier really mad at Canada's PM Trudeau? Trudeau's 12 day trip itinerary has some answers. Aside from the G20 meeting, every meeting, every country he's visiting has had to do with increasing Asia-Pacific Trade and reducing reliance on trade with China.... PM Trudeau is working. For CANADA.

RANT: Some people tell me I should be calling out the Liberal Government/Trudeau at times. Why? In case you've not noticed, almost all so-called Canadian press support the CPC during every election (and in between them). Why should I do their work for them? ... Why should I assist Poilievre/CPC in their endless exaggerations, deceptions and outright lies about PM Trudeau when they're at it 24/7. They don't need my help. Why shouldn't I focus on pushing back on such things as 'JustInflation' when we all know inflation is global...

On Pierre Poilievre's Campaign website Pt 2: (Pt 1 Here:
The #1 item listed is 'JUSTINFLATION'. There are a lot of words but no details on how to solve inflation in Canada... Well, there is this: "We need to return to fiscal responsibility and STOP #JustinFlation!"
Who keeps criticizing 'Trudeau' for spending too much? Poilievre. Who now keeps demanding Trudeau spend to help those suffering from inflation? Points if you guessed Poilievre.😏

On Pierre Poilievre's campaign website, he lists 4 priorities. #2 is 'RECLAIM CANADIAN VALUES'. Quote: "We need to get back to the basics. It’s time to stand up for fundamental Canadian values and protect Canadians’ freedom of speech and belief."
The question becomes... how far back does Poilievre want to take us to return to so called 'Fundamental Canadian Values'. A hint is found in his use of 'freedom of speech', an American term, whereas in Canada we have 'Freedom of Expression'.
I'm sure he doesn't want to go all the way back to the time...

Warren Kinsella writing about P Poilievre in May:
For Pierre Poilievre, the frontrunner in the Conservative Party leadership race, the return of the abortion debate is very, very unhelpful. For years, the Ottawa-area MP has enjoyed the support of the Campaign Life Coalition... the powerful lobby group that wants to outlaw abortion, gay marriage and euthanasia.
On its web site, the Campaign Life Coalition gave approving green check marks to Poilievre for voting for bills that would make it an offence to “kill or injure a pre-born child” — and to...

How persistent, constant encouragement of Hate can win over a country: Following is a quote from Jewish Warsaw diarist Chaim Kaplan, from within the book 'Hitler's Willing Executioners - Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust'. While I do not intend this to be a direct comparison between parties/supporters in Canada, the level of Hate being constantly promoted based primarily on False information does begin to compare. This quote will take a number of tweets, but please read all of them.

During the Jan 6th attack on Democracy, Trump did not call for help, he encouraged the attackers, we hear him praise them in the video played.
During the illegal truck convoy occupation, Bergen, leader of CPC encouraged MPs to 'keep the truckers in Ottawa', in an email read ... ... out live by David Cochrane P&P as he received it. 'shouldn't we keep them them in Ottawa because it will hurt the PM'.
There is a difference in the level of harm between the two situations but - no difference at all between Bergen and Trump in what they were prepared to do.,,

Pierre Poilievre's Political Career:
After saying no one should be in for more than 2 terms, Pierre's into his 6th. Mystery is - what has he actually done for Canada since 2004?
And why was he just a back bencher for 10 years before finally getting a Cabinet Post?
On to two... He was made 'Minister of Democratic Reform' finally, in 2013. And went on to present a bill (The Fair Elections Act) that was so bad, it had to be amended multiple ways, despite CPC having a majority, after a huge outcry claiming it damaged Canadian democracy...

Would the charming Erin O'Toole fulfill Harper's dream, given the chance? By altering or even removing our precious Charter of Rights and Freedoms from the Constitution? Please read on. The House of Commons, the Senate, and two thirds of the provinces representing over 50 percent of Canadians must approve any changes to the Charter or any part of the constitution. By the time Harper won a majority, most provinces had Lib Govs so no chance for him to alter it.
