Burnout in OSS feels like a question of when and *how often* it will occur, not just if. The situation feels even more severe than it is across the rest of tech.
Can we please, please talk some more about what we can try to at least make it less frequent?!
I'm not sure why it's more common in OSS than non-OSS (assuming that my own anecdata holds true and that it really is). Some theories:
* It's that much hard to maintain personal detachments from the project
* Devs tend to take on more non-eng work
* Bus factor is usually worse
