10 major dams being built by the second republic.

There are over 2 000 dams in the Zimbabwean portion of the Limpopo River Basin of varying sizes. Within the Upper Mzingwane and Mwenezi catchments there are 21 medium or large dams in Zimbabwe (LBPTC 2010). InMarch 2021, GOVERNMENT OF ZIMBABWE poured in over $10 billion into the development of 10 major dam projects across the country. The programme aimed at boosting the country’s water harvesting capacity.
