Counting The Cost!

How much of your time, even of your life, would you be willing to give if you were asked to be part of a mission to save the world? Luke 14:28-30
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

What Do We Deserve?

Is there anything we could do to merit the love and grace of God? Could we be good enough, and live lives pure enough? Could our good works outweigh our bad works, so that the LORD would see us as pure and grant us mercy? What does the Word of God say about our own righteousness?

Romans 3:10,12
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. [12]They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Jesus Intercedes For Us!

We must surely know how powerful prayer is! We are told in God’s Word that we should always pray, bringing everything to the Father in the Name of Jesus! But, did you know that Jesus prays for those that have come to the Father, through Him — Those who are born again?

Where Is The Promise Of His Coming?

Many in the world today scoff at the teaching that the return of Jesus is imminent! They say, where is the promise of His coming, I’ve heard that all my life, and so did my parents before me! Beloved, that day will come, and based on the signs around us, I don’t believe it will be delayed much longer!

That day will catch many unaware, and unprepared, because they have been lulled asleep, and become friends with the world!

Out Of The Ashes!

What is the meaning of wearing sackcloth and ashes in the Word of God?

Sackcloth and ashes were a sign of extreme mourning, and sorrow; of repentance to the LORD, and humility from His people! In Daniel nine we see Daniel coming before the LORD and confessing his sins, and the sins of His people!

They had sinned by not listening to His Word, and walking in obedience to Him! He sent them prophets, and they wouldn’t listen to them either!

Walking Humbly!

Humility is to be a hallmark in the lives of the children of God! We are not ever to walk in pride, or boast in our own strength! We are to do justly, be merciful, and humble!

Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Trust!

We can trust our Faithful Father with every single thing in our lives, and in the lives of those we love, and in our world! He promises to be with us — Even as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death!

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.

Protection From Almighty God!

Today my heart is both heavy, and full of thanksgiving to our Father in heaven!

All who know me, know that for the last eight years, I have felt led to support Donald J. Trump! For those who don’t know that, let me share a little about why I support him!

I was in a time of prayer and fasting in February of 2016! A dear friend was succumbing to cancer, and I was praying for her, and other situations in our family.

Are There High Places In Your Life?

High Places, were places for Pagan worship! This is Idolatry, which for the people of the LORD is Spiritual adultery! Hosea 4:12
My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

The Pit Of Despair!

Have you ever been in the pit of despair? Perhaps you are there now — A place in your life that felt so dark, and so deep, you couldn’t see, or don’t see a way out? You are not alone! So many others have experienced this horrible pit! I have experienced it myself! Paul talks about his experience to the church at Corinth! He despaired even of his life!

Trusting The Voice Of The LORD!

David wrote this Psalm after he lamented about the wicked always seeming to prosper, while the Godly struggled! The LORD showed him things from His perspective! How often we feel the same as David!

We are going on our third day since hurricane Beryl came through our area! We also only have internet when connected to our portable generator!

This morning I felt led to look back at what I wrote a year ago today! May His Word to me then encourage us all today! Clouds!

The first mention of clouds in the Word is found in the covenant God made with man and every living creature on the earth. A promise to never flood the entire earth again.

The Mercy and the Fury of the LORD!

The LORD is slow to anger, and patiently waits for the wicked to turn to Him — But when they do not repent, His indignation will be poured out! Nahum 1:3,6
The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.

Rejoice Not!

If you’re like me, you pray for the wicked to be brought down! But do you also pray that they will turn to the LORD?

We so often pray for our enemies fall, but we should also pray for their salvation! The LORD will bring down the wicked, but will we rejoice when they fall, or will our heart be grieved?

Suffering!

What is your response to suffering? The first thing we often ask is — Why is this happening to me!

That’s not a bad first response! We must always examine ourselves, and ask the LORD to search our hearts and show us anything amiss in our hearts and lives! David prayed this prayer!

Psalm 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

If My People!

What is a nation in distress to do — according to the Word of God?

What are God’s people to do when they are surrounded by their enemies? We are told to sound an alarm, and the LORD will hear it and remember us, and save us!

A Well Springing Up!

What flows forth from you? Jesus said that when we drink of His Living Water — It will become a Well of Water springing up into everlasting Life! John 4:13-14
Jesus answered & said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the Water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the Water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of Water springing up into everlasting Life.

Thank You For The Unknown!

We are told many things in God’s Word about things that will happen in the future, and about our future with Him in eternity! We have also been given so many promises about how much God loves us and will care for and sustain us through all of our trials!

Deceit!

Many are taken captive by deceit! The enemy uses what appeals to the flesh to take his prey!

He will speak to you with flattering words that are really full of poison! Do you seek the praise of man, money, or fame? If so you are at high risk for deception! The enemy uses flattery and deceit — He used this deceit on Eve in the Garden!

The Entrance Of His Word Brings Light!

There is something so powerful, wonderful, and marvelous we have been given — To give others — His Word! Psalm 119:129-130
Thy Testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. The entrance of Thy Words giveth Light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
