BREAKING: This week we revealed through a Freedom of Information request that there was £1,026,223,558 (over ONE BILLION) in debt sitting on prepayment meters in the first quarter of 2023.
Families fear it’s debt they’ll ‘never pay off’.

Energy debt repayments are deducted from the credit on prepayment meters - meaning the worst-off customers can watch the money they put on their meter ‘eaten up’ by debt, leaving them unable to power or heat their homes. (2/8)
