The most interesting thing about the Barbie movie is Ken's bloodless revolt against the Longhouse.

You are Ryan Gosling, Gosling is Ken, Ken is Prometheus, and perhaps you are too.

Let's take a look at the parallels between Ken's world and ours... Image Ken is you. He is an exaggerated western man in the 21st century. Anxious, confused, chasing women who don't care about him.

He exits the Longhouse and discovers his own will-to-power. Like you, he decides to bring this knowledge back to his fellow men.

It seems every civilization that adopts serf/slave farming is plagued by some byproduct for centuries afterwards.

Most notably it often results an large Urban poor population that weighs down the social and economic situation. Some civs seemed to have solved this issue, each time creating a new social class with the promise of upward mobility.

The Romans funnelled these people into the army.

The English (who evicted people off communal lands rather than slavery) put them in factories.

I watched it so you don't have to:

Black Panther: WAKANDA FOREVER is a story about senseless war, arms races and technological worship.

This film, unbeknownst to it's viewers and writers, argues that the nation with the biggest stick must preserve its hegemony.

🧡 Whether we like it or not media mirrors and shapes our perception of the world. While on the surface it is another capeshit movie that panders to south side Chicagoans, Wakanda Forever advances certain themes that illustrate how the other side is trained to view the world.
