Self-esteem is the healthy relationship you have with yourself.

Confidence is the healthy relationship you have with others.

Communication is the bridge between the two.

You need all 3. There are many people who are confident but lack self esteem

They'll be good at talking to people, at building things, but the lack of self-esteem will lead to self-sabotage

This is one of the root causes of burn-out, and impostor syndrome. Not feeling "worthy" of achievements

7 years ago today I fully qualified as a Lawyer.

In the 7 years since, I moved from being just an employee to:

- an employee getting a small % of profit costs

- A consultant purely on a fee-share basis

- Setting up my own law firm

- Giving it all up 7 years ago today I was sat in Pakistan. Continuously checking my emails and refreshing the Law Society webpage that lists all newly qualified solicitors.

Work-life balance is a myth, but what can you do to get yourself out of the trap?!

Scheduling & Discipline

This, however, only works if you know what type of life you actually want to live.

If you know how you want to spend your days. When you intentionally state you want to spend parts of your day doing: prayer, exercise, family time, meditation, reading etc

It becomes easier to schedule those things in with work.

Once schedule, it requires an insane amount of discipline to execute.
