Strongly condemning the Union Government's decision to slash Kerala's borrowing limit. This move is an attempt to suffocate the state by any means necessary. /1 At the start of the fiscal year, the Union Govt. permitted Kerala to secure a loan of Rs 32442 Cr. Disappointingly, only Rs 15390 Cr has been approved so far, along with a significant reduction of Rs 10000 Cr in grants compared to the previous year. /2

In a response to a question asked in the Rajya Sabha, @EduMinOfIndia has given the data on number of vacant posts and number of posts where interviews were conducted, but the post remains vacant as it was declared none found suitable. /1 The data exposes union govt's dilution of the constitutionally mandated reservation and of its identity politics of appointing a tribal woman as president as mere hollow appeasement. /2

In the reply to a question asked in the #RajyaSabha, the @MLJ_GoI has replied that there are 72,062 cases pending in the Supreme Court, 59,45,709 cases pending in various high courts and 4,19,79,353 cases pending in district and subordinate courts. /1 The data revealed that there are 2 vacancies of judges in the supreme court, 386 vacancies across all the high courts & 5343 vacancies in district & subordinate courts across India. /2

Met Hon. Minister of Civil Aviation @JM_Scindia yesterday. Raised two issues which require the urgent attention of the minister. Obstacles preventing transgender persons from becoming commercial pilots were one. The critical issue of rise in airline fares was the second issue. /1 It was after I came across the struggle of Adam Harry from media that the issue of transgender persons facing discriminations was raised before the minister. The minister assured that there would be no discrimination against transgender persons. /2
