3 or 4 years ago, I took a job at Lockheed Martin as a tech writer. They're like the 2nd or 3rd biggest employer in my region after Disney and the only major company that needs tech writers+ Northrup Grumman is another of the biggest employers in my area. I don't like those mom comics either, but the one about the peach in particular was taken way way out of context.

She used it to make a bigger point about not martyring oneself and just allowing yourself to "eat the peach." She shares posts from her followers in which they allow themselves things they otherwise would've saved for the kids. It's not a bad message.

I think a mistake a lot of people are making is assuming that because their job is skilled labor, it won't be automated. This is a failure of imagination. A combination of AI and gradually lowered consumer expectations can replace almost any job I didn't think they'd find a way to automate my current job. It's complex (despite what my customers think) and required a good deal of skill and training. But they did, or at least mostly did. I'll explain. A thread:
