In an effort to enforce the laws as written, my office obtained a consent judgment in a case against the business owner of Puppy Love Kennel, Corey Mincey, for violating Missouri’s standards for licensed commercial dog breeders.
I will enforce the law as written, which includes holding accountable those who continue to violate state statute by putting Missouri animals in egregious situations. My office will continue to uphold the standards for Missouri’s dog breeders as required by law.

In an effort to defend the Second Amendment, I joined 18 other AGs in filing two amicus briefs in federal court supporting Americans’ right to keep and bear arms and the right of places of worship to determine their own policies related to firearms.
Both cases concern New York’s unconstitutional law making it a felony to possess a firearm in “sensitive places,” which it defines to include “any place of worship or religious observation.”

In an effort to enforce the laws as written and protect Missourians, my office successfully defended the conviction of Michael A. Black at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District for the shooting and killing of his stepson, Alexander Koch, in August 2017.

In an effort to enforce the laws as written and protect children, I joined 45 states and the District of Columbia in asking a state court to order social media company TikTok to comply with an ongoing investigation into whether the company violated consumer protection laws.

In an effort to protect consumers, my office announced today that Daniel Cahill pled guilty in Warren County Circuit Court to the Class E Felony of Deceptive Business Practice and the Class D Felony of Stealing Over $750.
Cahill was immediately sentenced to a four-year suspended sentence with multiple probation requirements, including full restitution for the victim. He has an additional case in St. Louis County pending for additional victims.

In an effort to protect consumers, my office filed a civil action against William J. Raymond for unlawful business practices in St. Louis County.
The lawsuit alleges that, Raymond, using the business names J&D Masonry and Cutright Masonry, took advance payments from at least four Missouri residents for concrete and masonry services that the defendant never provided or failed to provide in a skillful and workmanlike manner.

Jessen faces twenty-four counts of deceptive business practices in Greene County for defrauding consumers and financially exploiting elderly Missourians.

In an effort to protect women and children and enforce the laws as written, I led a coalition of 19 attorneys general in directing letters to five major pharmacies warning them that distribution of abortion pills in the mail would violate both federal and state law.
These letters follow coalition letters that Attorney General Bailey sent to CVS and Walgreens earlier in February after those companies announced that they are seeking FDA certification to use the mail to sell abortion pills.

In an effort to protect Missourians’ religious freedoms, I directed a letter with 19 other AGs to FBI Director Wray and US AG Garland condemning a leaked internal memorandum that targets Catholics as potential threats due to their religious beliefs.
We already knew Biden was launching an attack on the 1st Amendment rights of Americans, as evidenced by our landmark free speech case MO v. Biden, but now it’s clear that he’ll weaponize unelected federal bureaucrats to go after any American who doesn’t worship the ‘right way.'

In an effort to enforce the laws as written and protect consumers, our office obtained convictions against Blake Mahoney for Financial Exploitation of the Elderly and Deceptive Business Practices in Audrain and Boone Counties.
Mahoney defrauded eleven consumers by demanding money upfront for home construction and renovation work, and then failing to do the promised work.

In an effort to enforce the laws as written and protect women and children, I filed an amicus brief in a highly watched lawsuit against the FDA for their unlawful role in creating a regime of abortion by mail.
22 other AGs also oppose the FDA in this matter. Missouri’s brief brings to the court’s attention concessions that abortionists have made in Missouri courts that reveal the harmful effects chemical abortion drugs have on women.

I want Missouri to be the safest state in the nation for children, which is why we are calling for an immediate moratorium on the Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital prescribing puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones to any new patients.
We are hopeful that the leaders of these institutions will choose to do the right thing for the safety of Missouri’s children, as we work to root out any possibility of children being harmed by predatory adults with a radical social agenda.
