Next year the Brexit UK Exit queues will be ten times worse.

Two new systems will be implemented:

1) ETIAS - €7 travel pre-authorisation

2) EES (Entry/Exit System) non-EU passengers must provide facial and 4 fingerprint scans the first time they cross the EU border. Airports generally process passengers one at a time and are therefore better placed to cope - new biometric scanning infrastructure will be needed if space allows.

EuroTunnel and Dover will have a much bigger challenge. Generally famlies travel together in their cars.

Interesting from a whole day of logging all the @GoWhippet X3 buses. As before the coloured bars are different drivers, the red are times when the location data is unchanged. White gaps are when no location data is uploaded.
@borofergie @CBGbusUsers @busopendata @CambsPboroCA Any white gap of more than 5 minutes results in @CambsCC's VixConnect giving up on predictions and switching to scheduled bus times.

I've created some new daily graphics to highlight BODS data uploads from the @gowhippet X3 (I can do any bus in the UK). I'll show a full dataset tomorrow evening.

However in the meantime how on earth does this happen?

@borofergie @CBGbusUsers @busopendata #busopendata In these graphics there is a bar each time BODS data is uploaded (colour coded by driver) and a red bar shows when the GPS location data is identical to the last one. Blank white space shows no data has been uploaded at all.

What happened with @GoWhippet X3 due Cambourne 07:36 this morning? The tracking in myTrip (and via BODS) froze outside Papworth and wasn’t updating.

@borofergie You can see here that the GPS location (Lat/Lon in Yellow) just stops updating.

When this happens all predictions on VixConnect stop and passengers get the scheduled rather than predicted arrival times.
