1/ 12) Before you come to UK - first do the MATHS and avoid getting advice from people who came here pre-2010.

The UK we have is now different because of 3 risks:
-Currency depreciation
-Inflation risk.
-No more multi opportunities

I will explain each one of these. 2/12) Before 2010 - if somebody sent you £10 in Zim, you would get US$20 and that was a lot of money! The rate was so good & having a Home country that uses USD was an added advantage becoz the Pound was twice in value.

Now the exchange is £1 to $1.12.

1/6) FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF SANCTIONS.

A few days ago Mr Chimuka's Fossil Group acquired one of Zimbabwe's largest Cement producer ( Lafarge).
Today he has also been added by America on their sanctions list. Image 2/6)What this means is that if u are a Zimbo, working for Lafarge, u are now working for a company whose Ultimate Beneficiary ( UBO as we call them in Audit) is treated the same way as the Guptas. Your Suppliers will now treat your company the same way they we treated Masendeke.

There is something SA Gvt Isn't being honest about. A few years ago the idea of asking Zim to foot medical Bills of Zimbos in SA was raised. But Zim demanded that it will invoke citizen-based tax (as is done by SA) where every Zimbo in SA will be taxed in Zim via a DTA. Zimbabwean Gvt was ready to strike a Double Tax Agreement with SA (as is done by every country Worldwide). What that would have meant is that all Zimbos working in SA, they don't need to pay tax in SA, they file their tax returns with Zimra.

1/18)LESSONS FROM BY ELECTIONS

All the results I have seen so far show that @CCCZimbabwe is winning against Zanupf by a 1:2 margin in Urban seats which are traditional Opposition areas. The rural votes show Zanupf winning by 1:20.
After Census there is delimitation exercise! 2/18)INCREMENTAL GAINS: The Opposition has not gained a single seat (Council or MP) from Zanupf. Instead - Zanupf has closed most of the Urban gap to leave only a 1:2 margin. The rural gap continue to widen with no indication that Zanupf can lose in these rural areas.

1/25) SHOULD @CCCZimbabwe HOLD A CONGRESS?

So much has been said about whether the New Party needs a Congress or not - I'm just going to add my own views as a Citizen. Read this thread with a mind to learn & not this mind to attack.
@daddyhope @hwendec @ProfJNMoyo @KarenyiKore 2/25)To understand if Congress is necessary, we shld define 3 important decisions that are made at Congress;
1) Elect Substantive Leadership &Give them Directions/ resolutions of what they need to achieve.
2) Enact/Amend the Party Constitution
3)Ratify pre-Congress resolutions.

1) The main Reason why the Main Opposition in Zim has failed to become a Gvt has all to do with lack of Intelligence Department and inability by the Party leadership to detect infiltrators/Spies. In this article I will explain my own observations.
@daddyhope @hwendec @ProfJNMoyo 2) This thread is driven by my observations of recent events where Party leaders themselves stampeded to defend people accused of double-crossing. With what is happening in @CCCZimbabwe it's important we discuss this critical subject.

1/15) Naturally @ProfJNMoyo can not settle where there is unity- I'm actually surprised @mdczimbabwe went this far with him. He joined Zanupf around 2000. Soon after 02 Elections he began pushing for ED leading to his subsequent expulsion after 04 Tsholotsho debacle.
@daddyhope 2/15) @ProfJNMoyo rejoined Zanupf around 2009/2010. Immediately after 2013 Elections he began the "anti-Mujuru" campaign prompting Mugabe to reshuffle him from Information Ministry and referring him as "Devil incarnate".

1/11) DOES MDC & @nelsonchamisa need Funding?
Nobody disputes the fact that every Political Party needs funding. What l dispute is this approach of paying salaries to Polling Agents. A Party as old as @mdczimbabwe shld have VOLUNTEERS.

@daddyhope @hwendec @ProfJNMoyo 2/11) Just imagine if Zanu/Zanla recruited Zim young & women by promising to pay them monthly salary to join the liberation struggle? They wld have recruited EMPLOYEES and not SELFLESS VOLUNTEERS. An Opposition Party needs cadres, Zvimbwidos & Mujibhas.

1/7) SANCTIONS
The only way of knowing whether Zim collapsed bcoz of sanctions is by comparing:
-1980 GDP when Zanupf took over = $6.679B
-2000 GDP just before Zidera = $6.69B.

So for TWO DECADES Zanupf DID NOT do anything!

@daddyhope @shingaiRndoro @TichZindoga @KarenyiKore 2/7) Now Compare when GNU was formed upto its expiry:
-2008 GDP = $4.4B
-2013 GDP = $19.0B
That's almost 500% increase in GDP in just 5 years - Thanks to @BitiTendai! Remember the so-called sanctions were still in full force!

1/10)I have avoided talking about the current Zim 2nd Constitutional Amendments. But are certain several observations l have learnt from Politics that apply in law and I think it's high time I explain them.

@daddyhope @JaqueSand @ProfJNMoyo @namataik_ @advocatemahere @Wamagaisa 2/10) Zimbabwe did not just find itself under this pressure to amend the Constitution. This is something that began in 2013- we knew after that Constitution was passed that each Party walked away with grievances due to the nature of compromises made.

1/10)Let’s be very factual; the 2017 Coup was actually the 3rd Coup in Zim. The first Coup was in 2002 when Army Generals led by Zvinavashe gathered &vowed that they wld not allow anybody other than their own choice to lead Zimbabwe.
@daddyhope @JaqueSand @ProfJNMoyo @ali_naka 2/10) I have always argued that Tsvangirai won the 2002 Presidential Elections, it was clear from the behaviour of the military, the violence they engaged in, the failure by the Judiciary to release the Court Ruling& failure by Mbeki to release the SADC& AU report.
