So, about a year ago, the inimitable @GrayWolfBG1 came up with the idea for #UnseatTheLot a coalition of independent candidates sweeping aside the two-party duopoly to create a government of the people, by the people. I thought it was such a great idea, on a whim, I bought the domain name , and then sat on my hands for a year (it’s been a tough one!) & didn’t do much else to support the cause, apart from the odd tweet of the #UnseatTheLot hashtag.UnseatTheLot.com

15 million eligible voters didn't vote in the 2019 GE. The return of Nu, New Labour, will no doubt deter many of those same people from exercising their vote again, as the "suits" return to Labour. I'm currently unable to justify voting for any of the establishment parties. 1/17 No doubt, I'll be accused of being a Tory enabler, by many of the same people who refused to vote Labour, when the choice was mild Socialism under Corbyn, or Barbarism under Johnson & his Tory cabal! 2/17

For decades the working class have been told, because of the FPTP system, they need to compromise to get the Tories out, for decades they've been betrayed by so-called Liberal allies in suits, who've promised much, & delivered little. 1/21 For decades many of us have, despite our reservations, voted for the lesser evil, comforting ourselves that at least we didn't vote Tory. 2/21

I genuinely believe that the AS crisis in Labour was weaponised by some, who saw it as an effective way to defeat an opponent, they couldn't defeat on policy. But, antisemitism does exists on the left, of course it does! 1/6 Unless you've spent your life in a vacuum & have never read any Dickens or Shakespeare, it would be very hard to have been raised in a country, that committed pogroms 800 years ago; where AS tropes, are a common part of our vernacular, to not be affected by it. 2/6

I think a lot of people believe they can't be racist, they're not like Nigel Farage or Tommy Robinson, people like them are anti-racist/fascist, have Black friends or Brown children/grandchildren, how dare you even suggest it! 1/7 However, when you're born and raised in a country built on the back of White supremacy, it seems to me only natural that we all, irrespective of colour, will be influenced by the systemic prejudice that pervades every part of our social, cultural and historical experience. 2/7

A year on from the GE2019 & I still feel as if I haven't processed the grief of what was lost (this isn't helped by all the smug rw bstards who helped us lose, tweeting their BS today 😡) Far too few people understood the real risks of allowing Johnson's Conservatives to win 1/14 We live in a one party state in everything but name now, with an official opposition which has actively contributed to the UK's atrocious mishandling of the pandemic. I still swing from moments of sadness, at the way the left & Corbyn have been treated over this last 5 years 2/14
