THE STORY OF TANTURA MASSACRE

Imagine you're a seagull flying over the Mediterranean Sea, heading east, until you reach the coast between Tel Aviv and Haifa. There, you'll find Dor, a beautiful resort comparable to the beaches of Greece, Cyprus, and Sicily.

With soft sand, a pleasant atmosphere, coral reefs, and surrounding greenery, Dor is charming. It features a museum and archaeological sites from the Bronze Age, alongside modern houses that evoke a Florida vibe.

As a seagull, you spot the modern Nahsholim resort. Nearby, a small building in old Arab style stands in stark contrast to the modern surroundings, blending history with contemporary life. In 1991, a resident of Dor decided to build a diving center next to an old Arab-style house. As workers began drilling, they abruptly stopped when they uncovered human bones buried at a shallow depth. They quickly back-filled the site and never returned.

This discovery was witnessed by Fouad Hasadiyeh, a fisherman from the nearby Arab village of Al-Faradis. When Fouad asked the project owner why the work had stopped, he was told, "We found bones and remains from Napoleon's age."

Fouad responded, "No, these are the remains of Palestinians who were killed in 1948 and buried there." His father and grandfather had told him about the massacre committed by Israeli soldiers, with victims buried in mass graves, one of which lies beneath the parking lot of the Nahsholim Resort.

All of this happened before the resort was built and before the place was renamed Dor. It occurred when it was still a Palestinian fishing village called Tantura.

-THE UGLY TRUTH OF ISRAEL- Balfour Declaration (1917) "A promise from someone who does not own to someone who does not deserve." was a letter of British support towards Lord Rothschild for the Zionist aim of establishing a Jewish state in Palestine, which at that point of time was already inhabited by the natives. It was highly controversial as the declaration was made by an European power regarding a non-European territory in flat disregard of both the presence and wishes of the native majority in the territory. Upon the start of the mandate, the British facilitated the immigration of European Jews to Palestine.

The British disarmed the Palestinian people from 1936-1939 during the 'Great Arab Revolt' whilst turning a blind eye to illegal immigration by European Jews and their procurement of arms, greatly hindering the Palestinians in the future Arab-Israeli War.
