1. In prison, "Peer Support" refers to a wide range of activities where prisoners assist other prisoners. This is seen in emotional support, mentoring, advising, facilitating self-help, education/vocational training, practical assistance and representation. Prison: Day 5,876
2. Norway's Prison System said it best, "People go to court to be punished. They come to prison to become better neighbors." Instead of an attitude of punishment, staff fill the role of life coach, training inmates to be peer advocates and better human beings.
