Here are my 8 key implications arising from a first scan of the #AugarReview:
1 - although commissioned by Theresa May, it’s fate lies with her successor
2 - is there political consensus to implement the findings? I don’t see a Parliamentary majority to reduce fees... (1/4) 3 - will the prospect of £7.5k fees, lead to a spike in applicant deferrals (causing a challenge for universities)
4 - a significant cut in funding to the majority of courses will surely lead to a drop in quality. Is this the legacy that Augar really wants to deliver?
