👩🏾‍💻 By 2020, I was headhunted into a VP role in a global tech company @Brandwatch

🤖 I achieved this progression in less than a decade, without ANY coding skills

🔮 How did I do it?

*a thread* 🤓 I established a track record of results.

💪🏾 No magic formula can replace hard work: do your job well & hit all the targets you are set.

😬 When you're struggling, ask for help so you can stay on track to get results, or collaboratively adjust targets.

In 2011 @ my first tech job:
🙅🏽‍♀️ I was afraid to seize opportunities
😬 I was afraid to speak my mind

In 2021:
🥳 I was headhunted to be a VP @Brandwatch
🏆 I was voted #13th most influential woman in UK tech @ComputerWeekly

So, how did I grow my self-confidence?

*A THREAD* I actively removed negative people from my life.

When you're already struggling to be your own #1 fan, having people around you that encourage judgement & criticism won't help.

Be cruel (to them) to be kind (to yourself).

In 2020 I delivered close to 100 talks & keynotes 💫
