Today we remember the anniversary of the burning of that precinct, the catalyst of Taylor-Floyd Uprising, the culmination of the Black Lives Matter decade and generations of abolitionist (including Black nationalist, feminist and anarchist) struggles. The event which shook the US Our responsibility in the imperial core is to fuck up the belly of the beast and that is exactly what happened in 2020. That is exactly why the Biden administration and the buildup to the soon-coming right wing administration have both worked hard at a counterinsurgency.

Four years ago this month, the word "anarkata" made its way to the internet through the learning and theorizing spaces we created. It was in conversation with a Black anarchist trajectory of mutual aid and political education we came out of that unfolded during the 2010s. This trajectory was shaped by how the Black Lives Matter, Occupy, Standing Rock and other struggles interacted with a general tendency towards different forms of decentralized, and ideologically variegated resistance to the State and to class society, esp the Pigs and Property.

The Black Left is being incredibly one sided and thus reactionary right now as far as these takes on reactionary tendencies in the Black struggle It's undialectical to blame everything regarding a phenomenon on response to external forces. Whether it be Patriarchy or Antisemitism or bourgeois aspirationalism, there are indeed forces endogenous to our societies which incentivize the emergence of these backwards tendencies.

*laughs in Fanon, Cabral, Lorenzo, and others*

We are indeed watching the 'local pseudo-bourgeoisie' fail to 'fulfill its historical function' (Weapon of Theory); we are indeed seeing aspirationalism as KT suggests. But what bearing does that have on discussions of fascism in the Black struggle?

Anyways this why we rock with that "roots grasping science." That decolonial and transfeminist materialism. That prison born, street based, disability justice rooted revolutionary study. That which comes from niggas who face the brunt of the flaws with the bourgeois colonial... ... and biocentric episteme. That ongoing and ever growing body of knowledge trying to "grasp things at the root" and change it. That emancipatory outlook that tries to expose the anthropogenic question and also understands that the (hu)Man is overrepresented as all peoples.

Please stop trying to merge bioreductivism with dialectical and historical materialism. It's not scientific. The dialectic is an emergent phenomenon in complex systems that involve anthropogenic (human ecological) phenomena. Marx's metabolic humanism was not asocial determinism. What exists is the interpenetration of phenomena at multiple levels which have been rendered oppositional at the direct occurrence of definite historical circumstances. Trying to make them a priori and linearly/additively predicted via atomization is bourgeois science

Antisemitism is not a problem of Black culture. It is a problem of Christian religious nationalism and bourgeois interests. Christian religious nationalism and bourgeois interests have taken an outsized voice in Black struggle, and Minor Patriarchy plays a huge role in why. Minor Patriarchy is Sanyika Shakur's phrase for Patriarchy as it emerges among the colonized. N.Z. Suekama theorizes Minor Patriarchy as a way to "fill the vacuum" in our communities that is created by oppression under colonialism, capitalism, & what Shakur calls Grand Patriarchy

Let's also remember that the way indigeneity is constructed South of the US border us different than how it is for Natives and First Nations of the US and Canada --- and that indigeneity on all these instances =/= racialization --- and also that Mexican, Central+ South American and Caribbean indigenous groups have been very critical of the manner by which, especially in Latine contexts, certain constructions of what it means to be indigenous, to be mixed, or to be white rely on antiblack and anti-indigenous logics but don't get read as such up North

Yall authcoms need to stop thinking that appealing to cisheteronormative cultural-religious nationalist majoritarianism is the same as appealing to "the Black masses." Mind you the event that this take us referring to is different from everything being said rn Still, since yall wanna take it out the specific and be general: let's be clear that Malcolm X, probably one of the greatest Black revolutionaries to come out of a religious tradition, definitely felt that the two domains should be organized in separate spheres later in life

You cannot combat transmisogyny especially transmisogynoir by narrowly trying to define TMA struggle around the praxis of being that involves perisex individuals who are undergoing biophysical transition. TME ppl shouldn't be in this convo tho w their "transmedicalist" straw man. Trying to do so is a symptom of representationalism and it's a reactionary criticism that aims to confront narratives from TERFs and others but fails in that it centers their bad faith ideas rather putting at the center the good faith ideas of different TMA experiences/struggles.

Our pivot to having to focus almost entirely on clarifying the role of transfeminism in Anarkata thought; our comrade's focus on having to "stretch" transfeminism --- has cost us the fake love that was being shown when we first put Anarkata on the map. And that says alot It says alot about the Black Left. It says alot about even some Black anarchist circles. The fact that so many of yall are anti-transfeminist is why we don't need your fake love. We never did. We never cared for it. We never wanted the tokenism of "this is the only kind of...

Reminder to check out "Femme Queen, Warrior Queen: Beyond Representation, Towards Self-Determination" N.Z. Suekama's analysis of Transmisogynoir at the level of cultural images and contradictions internal to Black and trans liberation movement is extremely prescient, as is true of her other works. No other theorist of Black transfeminism is addressing these things quite like her.

Some Leftists try to do the whole thing of "well there is a secret group that ruins everything: but it's capitalists, not Jewish ppl" and while well intended it doesn't address how the very juxtaposition of Jewishness w the ills of capitalism has roots in antisemitic rhetoric. To say nothing of the fact that Capitalism is not a conspiracy. There are projects of the bourgeoisie that are done in secret, but a great deal of it is done out in the open. That's because it's a social relation, a mode of production.

This is incredibly both antiblack and pseudoscientific. In "On Biology" Lewontin and Levins define phenotype as "morphology, physiology, metabolism, and behavior" (pg. 90) of an organism. They & other scientists make clear that phenotype does not have a 1-1 ratio w genotype The assumption that it does is partly because "modern molecular biology deals with the direct products of gene action, the proteins produced by the cell using specific sequence information from the structure of DNA," partly bc Mendel's inquiry into heritability focused on a case

"Anarchists engage in cult like behavior" =/= our original statement which was that 'cult like dynamics and tendencies emerge among anarchists.' We are not going to go over this with I because ur proving our point with this thread. Framing the Eurocentrism within mainstream anarchisms as a unfortunate byproduct of white supremacy rather than an engrained commitment to Eurocentrism and white supremacy is exactly why we said what we said. Statements like that suppress reflexivity and internal criticism...

Take a look at cults in the US Black struggle. Many are some kind of cultural nationalist. Most of those began as religious nationalist. Many of the religious nationalist movements were/are deeply informed by Christianity and uncritical adoption of liberal humanist thought. Some combined those with elements from other Abrahamic religions, usually interpreted via evangelicalism, plus a certain kind of Westernized occultism (incl the New Age movement) that became prominent within the last 200.

If we understand that 1) Authoritarian Religion and the State go hand in hand 2) modern Political reason and its institutions have never been separated from Institutional Religion even where there are claims if such separation... then it shouldn't be shocking that Left Statecraft or aspirations toward it may very likely see Cults (religious or not) as germane with how to "build power" and instate + govern civil ties. Also why they dont care to address the cisheterosexist and Patriarchal social threads; or to combat Ableist pathologization at all either.

The Afrofuturist Abolitionists of the Americas is just a lil informal crew of nerdy Black radicals in different hoods around the country. Most of us were activated by some form of abolition and/or prison and anti-cop organizing. Have backgrounds in care work and education + arts. Came together under the banner of Anarcho-Pantherism, and studies of Decolonization and Black Left Feminism, in online groups focused on mutual aid, political education, and debate. Over the course of a few years, we started to AfAA Facebook page and then 2 years after, this acct

"I was eventually to be considered for leadership in a Black nationalist organization at the time, too. It was my first time participating in organization meetings and in phone zaps, writing letters or emails to officials, helping coordinate crowdfunds and disaster relief efforts hosting or attending teach-ins about different topics and skills. There was a very vibrant culture of discussion and debate in this organization. Our mission statement was modelled on the Black Panther Party’s Ten Point Program. But, the organization was also dominated by
