Are you a creator who is worried about account verification issues on social media, whether it's Twitter's complete botching of the system or the lack of one on other platforms like Mastodon and Tumblr? I have a solution:

Set up your own webpage and domain with an About page! By creating your own website with your own domain name and setting up an About page, you can add links to your social media accounts so people will always know which accounts are actually YOUR accounts by checking your website.

TIL a papyrus scroll indicates that, during the building of the tomb of Pharaoh Ramses III, the workers were upset about their treatment and, rather than discussing it with them, management served them a large meal. The workers didn't think that was enough so occupied the Valley of the Kings refusing entry to anyone until they were given a raise and "cosmetics" (research shows it was a form of sunscreen).
