Late Friday, @sierraclub quietly published details of a "new" trip to apartheid Israel for March 2023. They’ve made cosmetic changes, adding two meetings with Palestinians and naming Palestinians a few more times.
Why do we still oppose this trip? A 🧵 bit.ly/3AoQYoS@SierraClub Notably, @sierraclub does not acknowledge Israeli occupation of the Palestinian and Syrian lands they are visiting. This is what Palestinians refer to as a normalizing project, treating Israel like a normal country when in fact it is a belligerent, settler colonial regime.
