One of the joys of being a parent is that you get to try to pass on some of the things you love to your kids.
My taste in music is, sometimes even to me, bizarrely wide. Mainly because to me great music transcends styles. I do like there to be a “tune” though if possible. 1/
And so last night we went to see @RthompsonMusic play an acoustic set of some of his many great tunes. Every time I see him play live I realise I’ve forgotten what a great singer he is. Even now at 73 that voice cuts through 2/

Apart from that all I would ask of you is that you consider that much of what you read on this medium is not true, that it’s designed to dislocate truth, to propagate discord, that it has an agenda.
Please think. If you see something here purporting to be true look at the person saying it, have an independent mindset, work out where it’s coming from, what is its message, its target. By all means look at me. Don’t assume it’s true. Have an enquiring mind. It’s what humans do.

Let’s be very clear about this because you may not know: the red triangle was for “political” prisoners in Nazi death camps. That’s what actively doing Facebook is adding to.
I never thought I would live in a time where fake news was accepted as real, where bizarre stuff with no factual basis was accepted as real, where people quite simply made stuff up & large numbers of people accepted it as real. How can we come so far & yet get more stupid?
The counterpoint is of course people saying stuff that is real which is then dismissed as fake. It’s amazing how often people say *evidence please* in response to that having accepted the BS without question or a call for evidence.
