I see people saying especially on twitter, that ever since anti-CAA protests Muslim women have a voice of their own. I believe we have always had voice of our own. CAA or not, we always had a distinct voice that knew how to tell it's story despite the violence and trauma.

But it was overshadowed by the voice of our allies, liberal feminists would talk on our behalf, would claim to be our representative, would ask us to not talk about our issues as Muslim women for the "sisterhood" of Indian women.

I won against the left unity in a school known as their safe haven. I was told there's no way I can win in SL. It's not because it has too many left cadres but because it has a sizable number Muslim students who have been fed 'sathi aap hame vote Nahi denge to ABVP jeet jaegi'

1.
Modi is not a dictator. Modi is not the problem. He is not a maniac who is doing everything he wills. He is the representative of a Hindu supremacist extremist ideology that believes in second class citizenship for Muslims.
He is just furthering their agenda.
2. He has earned that place through the Gujrat model (of how to show Muslims their place) but someone will replace him. The fight is against this Nazi inspired supremacist ideology. To limit it to one person and think it's only him that has to be defeated is so naïve.

On 15 Dec last year, I was there at Jamia, near the central canteen. We could hear loud sound of something being fired again and again.
Then police entered the campus. And what followed was a series of anxiousness and fear mixed with a helpless rage.

But I want to talk about Aligarh Muslim University. The same night AMU was violated by UP Police. And internet was cut off so photos and videos cannot get out. No one knew what was happening there.

1. Last year today, students of Jamia called for a protest march to the Parliament against the Citizenship Amendment Bill which was passed a day ago and made into an Act. Student from all over Delhi reached Jamia for the march which was to start after Zohar Namaz. 2. Delhi police barricaded the road near gate no. 2(if I remember correctly). First many of us were heckled, lathi charged and detained. And then started the tear gas shelling. They fired tear gase so much so that there was a time, all you could see and breath was tear gas smoke
