CTL's response specifically called out a 2018 letter from @EPICprivacy in support of an FCC application. Here is my response 🧵 (full response is linked below). EPIC's 2018 letter was unrelated to the significant data ethics issues posed by the commercial use of sensitive data from the crisis response service transcripts. The bottom line, in our view, is that commercial use of this data is anathema and should not happen. Full stop.
