If the US were an actual democracy, there would be no real suspense now, on election night. Both sides agree that Biden and the congressional Democrats are expected to win the popular vote easily, even with massive voter suppression by Trump and the Republicans... #Election2020 But the US isn't an actual democracy. It is currently under the rule of a rightist minority who take advantage of the structural rigging inherent in the electoral college,the Supreme Court, the filibuster,gerrymandering etc,& on top of that add targeted lies, intimidation etc...

Americans worried about possible election violence should note that for decades the US has sponsored political violence in other countries as a core tactic of its foreign policy. On Oct 16 Gen Prabowo of Indonesia visited the Pentagon. His forces specialize in such terror... Gen Prabowo, who was greeted and offered aid by Trump's Defense Secretary Esper, has been implicated in personally conducting torture, disappearance and massacre. He was trained at Fort Benning and Fort Bragg, and described himself to me as "the Americans' fair-haired boy"...
