The amount of effort that I'm having to put into bringing the KDH Gen 2 up to modern standards is pretty significant, but I'm having fun with it.

New on this setup is the AXL Adaptive Vest Placard modification to allow me to hot swap different front panels. The goal of this modification is to allow me to switch between something like a MOLLE flap where I can put just magazines for the range, and something like a Mayflower Modified Gen IV to hold something like a THS tablet or my FO gear.

So I finally got my Defense Mechanisms MECH belt, and for what it costs, I like it, even if it took me 5 weeks to get it due to them being swamped.

I got a 20% pro discount (lol, pro), but they didn't throw me any freebies despite me being acquainted with one of their employees. ImageImageImageImage Pros:
- Tegris inner belt is worth it on its own for your other belts. Tried my Bison belt with it and it was a massive boost.
- Good price
- The system is incredibly stable, even if I loaded my dump pouch up with full mags
- Not as uncomfortable as I expected.
- EXCELLENT velcro

BUYING BODY ARMOR (a long thread)

I migh turn this into a full article, but it's something that's come up a lot in recent days. First, some ground rules

- Under no circumstances should you be purchasing steel
- Don't buy VISM, ShotStop, SafeLife, etc.
- Don't Buy Hesco
(1/???) If you do any kind of shooting where other people are present, especially at public ranges, should consider body armor. You can't control how safe other people are going to be, and even at ranges with attentive range staff, I've been swept with loaded, full auto AKs. (2/???)
