Over the weekend, we hangout and handover the leadership of @YALIAbuja to the new executives that will pilot the affairs of the network for one year. In commemoration of #MandelaDay2020 @YALIAbuja and partners carried out intervention project to support the educational and general well-being of orphans. The project include renovation of orphanage home with 2blocks of 6 classrooms, hand wash facility, toilets, solar power and donations of food, house use relief materials, clothes, back to school kits, medical outreach where over 100 orphans where screened and treated for malaria.

JAIZ BANK DECLARES N1.8BN PROFIT AFTER TAX FOR 2019

Jaiz Bank the premier non-interest (Islamic) Bank in Nigeria has declared a profit after tax of N1.79 billion in its 2019 unaudited financial results as submitted to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), signifying 114% growth. When compared with the N834.36 million recorded at the end of 2018.
Key extracts of the report showed that total assets rose by 53% from N108.462 billion in 2018 to N166.837 billion, while gross income rose by 80% from N7.5 billion in 2018 to N13.517 billion in 2019.

SIR ABUBAKAR TAFAWA BALEWA TOMB MONUMENT

While in Bauchi, I visited the tomb built as a monument to the man who was often referred to as the Golden Voice of Africa. Leader par excellence, Late Alhaji Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa; the first and only Prime Minister of Nigeria. The construction of the tomb and the building enclosing the grave began in 1977 and it was commissioned in July 1979 and was declared a national monument on Aug 29, 1979 by Brigadier Garba Duba. Apart from his grave, the tomb also includes a reference library and a mosque.

We visited Anwarul Faida Orphanage Home in Jos. This is a follow-up visit, after the visit by Lamir Umar and his Wife. I’m delighted that the orphans are in good condition and well taken care of by the management led by Sheik Harisu Salihu(May Allah reward him). We had an exciting and heartfelt conversation with Sheik about the orphanage and the future plan to make sure brighter future for the orphans. We know is not easy for one to accommodate, feed, clothes and educate nearly 50 orphans.
The management needs our collective support.

It is indeed pitiable, the condition our brothers/children are in public schools. The sorry state of our government public schools especially Primary school is alarming. We know these are schools that only students from vulnerable families attend. while our leaders send their wards to the best schools owned by private individuals leaving children of poor under unpaid and in most cases unqualified teachers to teach them in inconducive environment. in this pictures is one of such school, Sabon Layi LEA primary School in Jos.

IT IS A SAD AND REFLECTION MOMENT FOR US All.

I watched with tears 😭 the gory video of the gruesome execution of Daciya Ropvil Dalep a 200 level Biology student of University of Maiduguri, who was abducted by Boko Haram insurgents on his way to school from Jos. I don’t believe someone should be killed for the crime of people they don’t know but just because they from a particular faith place or ethnicity. Try:
