Workin on a YouTube video about Stevie Coyle, the voice double for Charles Martinet throughout the 90’s, and stumbled on potentially a huge revelation-

Did you know that Wario’s personality and voice as we know him may have been inspired by Coyle’s performance?
A 🧵 Image This is a look at Stevie’s first time performing Wario, January 1993. He sounds a little different, but he’s playful, he’s silly (pretends to eat the ball, laughs at players) and says his classic “Stupid!” and “Idiots!”
His personality is pretty in line with modern Wario :)
