Very pleased to share that a paper I wrote with @CTennie —"Mere Recurrence and Cumulative Culture at the Margins"—has been accepted at BJPS. Here's a little thread about what the paper argues:
(For those with limited access, a pre-print is coming soon)
First of all, the paper analyzes the concept of cumulative culture. And it admits this concept works A-OK for understanding paradigmatic cases of culture: things like cold-weather adapted clothing up to contemporary electronics gadgetry.

My paper 'Synthesising Arguments and the Extended Evolution Synthesis' is now online: doi.org/10.1016/j.shps…
Brief summary below:
1/8
The paper argues that:
(1) Both advocates and skeptics of the EES have tended to use the language of theory-change;
(2) this frames the debate over the EES in terms of competing, comprehensive packages of theories, and;
(3) that this evaluative framework is not helpful.
