Republicans seem poised to win the midterm popular vote significantly while barely flipping any seats. The issue wasn’t messaging, the issue was machinery. New York and Florida are the two states where the most flips happened because of favorable maps. While I’m no fan of early voting—it favors low agency voters—Florida proves you can have EVs while maintaining voter integrity. Shorten the windows, cut it off a week or two before ED and allow tabulators to run those ballots ahead of time.
