The Lake Erie Connector is a 117 kilometre underwater electricity transmission line connecting Ontario with Pennsylvania. It was purchased in 2014 by ITC Investment Holdings Inc., the largest electricity transmission company in the USA. ITC is a subsidiary of Fortis Inc.
