This is awful. But unfortunately under this government this has become normal. Brexit has made it worse. Doctors, nurses and carers from overseas have left. Queues at A&E are longer and ambulances are backed up. Why are more people not angry about this? /1
The numbers are truly shocking. This chart shows the response time to Category 2 calls. All ambulance trusts should respond to these calls in 18 minutes on average. The response time for 10% of calls now exceeds 2 hours 15 min. Completely unacceptable. /2
