1. Govt can't meet expectations w/o proper resources
2. Govt can't operate when shorted employees
3. Annual trimming of budget "fat" will eventually take its toll.

Posting to offer context to the challenge unfolding at IDES. [2/5] Let's start w/ resources the agency has at its disposal. Overall, @IllinoisIDES is spending less $ today than it did a decade ago (adjusting for inflation would make chart much worse). Isolated, agency ops are flat. About $195m in both & 2019. Image
