Chairman of Accrington Stanley, best club in 92. Great asset for Hyndburn, generating much needed footfall and social goodness. Football vital for community.

You know, and I’m not having a go at @SalfordCityFC
They state their ambition as getting to @SkyBetChamp for which they need a new partner.
They’re not alone.
A good number of owners have the exact same ambition.
The question is WHY??
The Championship is a zombie league.
It’s full of clubs trapped between the ex @premierleague parachute clubs and a big loss if relegated.
Big clubs have fallen victim to this trap…
@SunderlandAFC @OfficialBWFC @dcfcofficial @LaticsOfficial @Rovers @swfc to name but a few.
All ending up playing @ASFCofficial

Reyt.
Season ticket prices are going up as we re stabilise the club following disastrous relegation from @SkyBetLeagueOne
Relegation that was deserved.
The increases to season ticket prices will
Generate an extra £34k
Remember we’re in a million pound hole.
Matchday ticketing will also increase bringing in a further £145k
Beers and concessions increases for all events, not just matchday will bring in £70k
We will be looking for a commercial manager/director challlenged with increasing other income like sponsorship, advertising..

So…
We talked last week about the permanent and non-permanent @premierleague clubs.
The next thing to understands is the financial disaster, that the prem tries to paper over with parachute payments.
The 14 non permanent prem club share
£1.8 BILLION each year…
The 14 clubs in @EFL that have spent the corresponding 13 years each in the prem share…
£90 million.
£1,800,000,000
£90,000,000
THIS IS UNREAL.
On top of this absolutely crazy state of affairs, if you buy a @SkyBetChamp club in the hope of replacing one of the LUCKY clubs
