Living with CPTSD and other symptoms of childhood trauma 🧵
This is long and ugly, but please bear with me. I hope you’ll read it and, if you feel comfortable, share how your childhood impacts you today because I don’t think we talk about it enough.
I’ve had strong dissociative symptoms lately.
It’s hard to talk about with people other than my husband, because they assume that only happens to survivors of severe childhood sexual abuse.
Which makes me recall a conversation with my sister.

Thread: A note about representation. RBG famously said there will be enough women on SCOTUS "when there are nine." Unfair? Cases decided by justices in the 1700s, 1800s, 1900s still have force of law. These are the white men of SCOTUS.
